I made this for me and my friends to use, but feel welcome to try it out for yourself.

here is some info on the mod and how to start:

ESSENTIAL ITEMS

Animal Dictionary

You spawn with this

Tells you about almost every exotic creature you will encounter

Astral Tome

You spawn with this

Leads you on the path of astral sorcery

TIP: zoom in on each cluster, you start with DISCOVERY

Ars Ecclesia

Teaches you the precise art of Eidolon magic

Empty Antique Atlas

This can be filled in to keep track of your journeys and map markers

Just Enough Items

A tool that appears on the right side of your inventory GUI.  used to locate the recipes and uses of any item in the modpack.

Cold’s Enchants + Marblegate’s Exotic Enchants + Enchantment Description

There are hundreds of cool new enchantments for you to put on your gear, and a handy summary tool so there is no question of what the enchant does.

Alex’s Mobs

An extensive ambience mod that adds animals and monsters alike to the world, and some bosses too.

Antique Atlas

Read “ESSENTIAL ITEMS”.

Architect’s Palette

This mod is a builder’s dream.  Hundreds of survival accessible blocks to build with, you can create truly awesome structures.

Astral Sorcery

Read “ESSENTIAL ITEMS” to get started.

BetterEnd

Amazing?  Yes.  What does it look like?  That’s for you to find out.

Biomes O’ Plenty

This is the most noticeable mod, adding 70+ biomes to the world.

Bountiful

Some villages have bounty boards, where you can complete tasks for rewards and licenses.

Create

Everybody knows this mod.  If you don’t, well, you basically have an extensive collection of mechanical parts to build just about anything moving and turning.  Make a twisting, moving parkour course or build a locomotive.  If you don't know what a mechanic does, then simply hold “w” while hovering over it to learn its capabilities.

Dungeon Crawl

This is a simple mod that adds huge randomly generated dungeons to the world.  These might look like a freebie at first, but as you go down the layers the guards come more equipped.  Take my word for it that the treasure will be well worth it.

Eidolon

Read “ESSENTIAL ITEMS” to get started.

Fins and Tails

Adds many sea critters as well as a couple land animals and an assortment of cool blocks too.  A light mod, but it definitely is worth it when you see a little snail.

Infernal Expansion

Adds mobs such as the basalt giant to the nether.

Mowzie’s Mobs

Hands down the best mod on Forge.  This mod adds some tough to defeat boss mobs, and one or two smaller ones.  These have incredible animation and impeccable AI, so be careful when fighting these beasts.

Quark

A huge mod that adds small things.  For a complete list, go to the quark website.

Storage Drawers

A storage solution.  These drawers can be sectioned into one two or four, and come in all vanilla wood types.

YUNG’s Better Stronghold

The old Stronghold was boring… wait till you see the new one!

Stands for “Here’s what you’re looking at”

Just Enough Resources

An addon to JEI that adds a guide for how to obtain an item other than crafting.

Dynamic Music

Music is now played based on what time it is and what biome you are in.

Artifacts

Adds Terraria styled accessories.

SHUT UP experimental settings

Get rid of the Experimental Settings warning.

Cosmetic Armor Reworked

This mod adds a terraria-style cosmetic armor system, accessible by a button near the normal armor display.

Text Damage Indicators

Shows a visual number of your damage when you hit something.
