About reputation ranksIn theory, it's just an extremely extensive everlasting pack with extended endgame and extraneus entities encore... or like i said, a big big pack with many many things that insta kills you. Let's talk about my points in review one by one...
Gameplay wise, 90% of your time is bonking your pogo stick of a weapon to many many different thingies. And that's it, that's the most remarkable part of it. There's difficulties in progression by the terms of leveling, you can't just mine iron, you need to get level 4 in mining to unlock it, and certainly you can spend levels in upgrading skills... How do you get the levels? well, exp... and where do you get exp?... a lot of places that's certainly not so convenient...
Still on the gameplay too, there's just too many game design decisions that are just a bit unintuitive... like, i know you read that i said the progression is difficult, but really all you need is 5 levels to spend on Crafting XP skill, some gravel to be turned to flint, some iron, some unlit torches, and now you just win tons of free xp for the rest of your run... just like that... see? world is unfair, so you can get unlimited xp from doing things like these...
The rest of the gameplay too is just like that, bonk your weapon...
Performance... bad, just bad. Fancy Block Particles, Better Foliage, Dynamic Trees, and even Lycanite Mobs itself, they all eat a chunk of your RAM, your CPU process, and they're all fighting upon each other... just, bad bad, if you play, turn off FBP and BF, will help your system
Aesthetically... yeah, even with FBP and BF and everything enabled, the whole aesthetic of the pack is rather meh, even with RTG settings, the whole pack seems to lack a certain direction, and while i thought the structures are just extremely awesome, you probably won't meet them unless you're pretty in the midgame already... which ties back to gameplay btw, spam those torches.
Overall, 3/5, somehow still bearable as a pack, gameplay loop so bad it's just funny now since i've finished this about 5 times, each runs goes horrenduously except my most recent one, if you're new to modpacks, sure, you can play this, just... beware.
