Description
Difficulty+ is a low end difficulty enhancement modpack with several changes to the game design
This project was inspired by Fundy's Impossible+ you can find here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C2wdLLTbTI
DISCLAIMER: Modpack is on hold until I have finalised the release - this demo is fully playable
The remaining series will be significantly delayed until a foundation for the pack can be created
I had intended for this to be a lifelong project so I hope you enjoy what is available so far.
The current stage is difficulty+ in demo version, it's in the most prepared state before release
Depending on the version will have some effects active, and some are not - down below for examples
Things are not as they appear, you will be tested - but it won't be too brutal....or will it?
Face entities of multiple types, varying abilities and major stat boosts
Dangers that give buffs and debuffs of various degrees
Biomes may look lovely, but it's a facade, depending on temperature you may burn/freeze to death
While there may be numerous nice things, it's quite frequent to be challenged
As the first of the series, it will be the least difficult, but by no means 'easy'
And it is recommended to start with this pack, before playing any of the others
Basically it's a full 5 pack set experience, starting with difficulty+ being necessary
followed by difficulty++, difficulty t+, difficulty cursed+, and difficulty impossibruh
There are no victory conditions, you are free to set your own, just be aware some goals may be unreachable, especially in the later difficulties
So here's to a long challenge of packs, mechanics, mods, mayhem, and lots of death
The pack has a specific design built into it - by no means should you edit the configuration
The difficulty is set by default to recommended, you may be able to change it, but is not necessary
gamerules are also in effect to solidify the features of the modpack, so all you need do is be prepared
Some of the highlights of the pack would be as followed: (Not limited to this specific release)
- Project MMO (progression to most items (weapons/armor/stations, etc) aswell as skills that gain in various ways
- Lost cities (a cityscape style mod that places small city like areas in rare quantities around the map, (rare cities is a default profile)
- Champions (a twist on infernal mobs with specific unique abilities that usually drop enchanted books)
- Various cursed mods, where new curses are added, some are even hard to spot
- Death effects are a heavy price to pay, you may lose whole items, durability, XP, health, and other things
- Epic Fight will enhance the abilities and movement of most enemies, and trigger a combat mode (off halves your damage)
- Forgery is a master control mod that changes many many mechanics, mostly to make things harder for you, with some improvements aswell
- Hardcore control will make it so death won't just end it for you, that'd be too quick and easy, instead there's a penalty allowing you to return
- Hostile humans, invaders, hordes, villages, many things will be a detriment to you instead of assist, finding anything normal will be less common
- Minecolonies is a major settlement mod that adds villagers that can be useful, but also bring invaders, not to mention everything else the pack has
- Dont worry, trees won't kill you - at least not easily, you will however slowly fall through them, making it harder to escape
- As mentioned, not everything is evil and hellbent on killing you, as there are several improvements to help you, making this a nice starting difficulty
I hope you find this a great beginning on the journey of difficulty+ series
Thanks for playing!
