Description

 This modpack is basically a collection of mods that I used in the Distant Horizons Gameplay video that I've made a while ago.

With a lot of request from viewers, I present to you ShadedHorizons!

PS. Credits to Ran from Distant Horizons for coming up with the name :P

*conflicted with OptiFabric (needs to edit fabric.mod.json inside JAR file, use WinRAR to open JAR file and text editor like Notepad++ to edit JSON file.)

Probably FAQ (PLEASE READ THIS FIRST)

Q: How to get rid of the lag spikes?
A: You'll have to let the mod generate LoD first to not get lag spikes, which is a time consuming process.
You can do this by set the LoD distance ridiculously high (in my case 2048 chunks) and leave your pc to run minecraft overnight.
You'll have to be in-game and unpause state for LoD to generate in the background (DH stop generate when you paused the game).
And after it's all generated, you lower LoD distance to reasonable amount (like 256-384 chunks).

Q: Why [insert shaders name] won't work?
A: Read the warning in Recommended Shaders section.

Q: Why not Iris/Sodium/CaffeineMC mods?
A: When using Iris with shaders enabled, the LoDs won't render in the background. Until Distant Horizons supports Iris Shaders, I'm sticking with OptiFabric for now.
Also Lithium is incompatible with OptiFabric. (Unless also doing camerautils method above)

Q: Why does LoDs look so flat? How to make it more blocky?
A: Sets oldLighting=True in Optifine shaders settings

Q: Why did some shaders makes Distant Horizons' LoDs glow in the night time?
A: idk

with Dark Limit sets to around 8-10, and LoD Brightness 0.85 and LoD Saturation 1.1
But you'll have to edit settings.glsl file inside shaders zip/folder to go over maximum value of some settings (use Notepad++), specifically moonlightIllum and minimumAmbientIllum.
PS. I will add shaders settings for other shaders later

Q: What's your CameraUtils settings?
A: FOV 60 X offset -6.0, Y offset 0.3, Z offset -1.2

Q: Complementary Reimagined Shaders has fog in vanilla render chunks, how to get rid of it?
A: Disable Border Fog ,and then add this line in shaders setting txt file : ATMOSPHERIC_FOG=false
