Simply Enhanced Default

This modpack:

• Should run fine on 8 GB RAM laptops, unless you have a very budget CPU.
• Is absolutely beautiful with shaders. Need a shader? I recommend Complementary Shaders - Reimagined.

To get the most performance out of your computer:

1.  Allocate more than 4GB of ram to your launcher.
2.  Install Java 21 and set it as your default Java path. Instructions may differ depending on your launcher.
3.  Use custom JVM args listed here.

Fixing Issues With Minecraft

• Villager Trading Improvement: We've fixed a long-standing problem with villagers, especially librarians who used to offer a wide range of enchantments. Now, villagers remember their professions and specific trade offers. This change ensures a more balanced trading system, preventing villagers from becoming overpowered. Each villager's profession is tied to their trades, creating a more immersive and authentic gameplay experience. This is a significant step towards better game balance and a more strategic and rewarding interaction with villagers.
• Anvil Level Limit Removal: We've removed the level limit for combining items in an Anvil, going beyond the default cap of 40. This change allows players to combine enchantments that were previously too expensive in Survival mode. It promotes flexibility and creativity in customizing items.
• Resource Utilization: We've addressed the underutilization of resources like copper, amethyst, and glow ink sacs. By introducing practical uses for these materials and other additions, we've created a more well-rounded and engaging experience, ensuring every aspect of the game contributes meaningfully to your adventure.

Combat & Mobs Rework

• Refreshing Gameplay: For long-time players looking for a fresh experience, we've revamped the combat system and vanilla mobs. Instead of loading the game with numerous mods for mobs and equipment, we've comprehensively reworked almost every hostile creature. Changes range from subtle adjustments to significant overhauls. Some of these improvements are inspired by the Bedrock edition, which offers a distinct and often more challenging dynamic than the Java version.
• Enhanced Combat: We've improved Minecraft's combat features by integrating some aspects from the Java Combat update snapshots. However, our goal isn't to copy those features exactly or include them all. We've also introduced original elements, introducing a few new mechanics to keep the gameplay exciting and unique.
