Once the world was blooming with life everything lived in peace until the sun blew up, Its freezing outside with the sun gone you can't easily grow wheat villagers move underground while pillagers brave the cold. undead mobs can't burn in the day creepers, and some squids mutate, creepers can see through walls and giant castles were built but were over run by mobs no where is safe 

      but you the player can rise up from the ashes crafting and building you can slay the beasts and conquer battle towers, explore underground villages making trades, find more uses for emeralds and obsidian travel to the nether searching for netherite, and get ready for the end craft armor and weapons from the fallen dragon or take up farming and build trying to build a underground empire *Best played in hardcore*
