About
Description

Something Lives Here is a horror-focused Minecraft modpack built around one core idea: the world is alive, and it does not want you here. What begins as a familiar survival experience slowly twists into something unsettling. The environment feels aware of your actions. The longer you stay, the more the world pushes back. This is not a place to relax. This is a place to endure.
Atmosphere & Horror
There are no safe zones.
Not on the surface. Not underground. Not behind walls you trust.
The overworld feels hostile, caves feel watched, and even places you return to often lose their sense of safety. Darkness is not just the absence of light, it is a presence. Whether you are above ground or deep below it, something is always closer than it should be.
The Long Night Protocol
Sleep is forbidden. There is no escape through beds.
Days last 40 minutes, giving you just enough time to prepare.
Nights last 20 minutes, and they are not meant to be survived comfortably.
When night falls, the world changes. The darkness grows heavier, and mysterious visitors may come looking for you. They do not announce themselves. They do not follow rules. Nighttime is not about exploration, it is about hiding, listening, and hoping you are not found.
Exploration Feels Unsafe
The world is filled with diverse biomes, each with its own atmosphere and dangers. Forests, plains, caves, and distant lands all invite exploration, but none of them are safe. Every biome carries its own threats, and familiarity does not make them less dangerous. Exploration rewards curiosity, but always at a cost.
Survival With Constant Pressure
Survival mechanics are designed to keep you alert. Resources matter, preparation matters, and mistakes feel costly. Nights are especially dangerous, but the day offers no true comfort. The threat is persistent, not predictable.
Immersion & Visual Tone
Visual enhancements, ambient effects, and sound design work together to build a heavy, oppressive mood. Darkness is meaningful. Silence is suspicious. Every detail exists to support the feeling that something lives here… and it knows you are here too.
Who Is This Modpack For?

- Those who prefer tension over fast-paced action
- Explorers who want Minecraft to feel unfamiliar again
