Description
This is a custom modpack for our server which is an island in the sea of time style, while we may use the Minecraft server for events our RP is mostly text-based.
The Mod Pack:
This pack mostly contains mods that are used in painting a landscape for the forums roleplay called Stolen from Rukbat 3, and is utilized to be able to view the landscape without missing large chunks of it. Many of the mods included have secondary purposes other than beautification including generating different terrains for the world, but their primary usage in this modpack is to add decorations and more options to build landscapes and buildings.
In addition to the 'landscaping mods', there are several mods targeted towards encouraging people to play the game in a way that goes with the tech level of the roleplay.
The modpack is currently still progressing towards its final state as the developers of the map continue building the landscape for the final release.
The Roleplay Itself:
While the Stolen from Rukbat 3 roleplay is indeed a PERN roleplay with dragons and dragonriders, the roleplay itself is not set upon the third planet of Rukbat 3. Rather, it is set upon a brave new world into which denizens of Hold and Weyr have suddenly found themselves thrust into. And indeed, thrust into it they were. From scattered times – even differing, alternate worlds where Moreta, perhaps, never needed to make that ride, or perhaps a world where there were other Weyrs than the major six – individuals found themselves waking up on islands far from home or anything they ever knew. Far enough that any attempts to go between home don’t succeed – anybody who tries has been lost.
The only clue anybody has is the writing in the same, spidery ink that each group gets stuck with upon arrival: "Kill the End. Destroy the Withering. Bring ~~~~."
How? Where? Why? Is that even going to work, given that the last words are warped and not readable?
Nobody’s quite figured out all the answers yet. (Or really, any of them.)
