A Horror/Exploration modpack with elements of body horror, but also many QoL things. It can't be all doom and gloom!

Description

For version 1.19.2 Minecraft

Forge - 43.2.14

Struggle:
The beginning will be difficult. Waves of mobs will roam the fields at night. Running will be your only option.

Survive:Build a base, or simply live on the run, and slowly become stronger.

Fight:Those who once held you back, those swarms of undead, bugs, and demons... take your revenge. Harness their powers, or strengthen your own to ward off malice.

Thrive:

You can become strong enough. You must become strong enough. Banish the evils, and save those you want to fight for!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've always wanted to make a somewhat interesting horror pack:

1. One that could work multiplayer (cause it's not as fun alone)

2. One that is actually scary (rather than just having a monster that one-shot's you, hence why there's no Cave Dweller reskin). Getting one-shot by something that you didn't know existed isn't fun, its annoying

3. One that allows the player to actually become stronger so they can fight back, and eventually enjoy minecraft without spooks

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That is what I (tried) to make with this modpack

1. Ambience comes from complementary (or spooklamentary) shader

2. Horror aspect comes from various lurker mods (The End of Herobrine, Arthropod Phobia Expansion, The Knocker, and The One Who Watches. You can actually get rid of the first two in-world by defeating bosses)

3. Realistic ambience comes from some of the nicest mods of that type (AmbientSounds6, Sound Physics Remastered, Presence Footsteps)

4. Scary ambience mainly comes from various sources (Spooklamentary, Eyes in the Darkness, cave sounds, etc...)

5. Body horror aspect mainly comes from Biomancy, Chest Cavity, and Sons of Sins

6. The resource packs simply nicen up some mob models and such

7. Exploration aspect of this world would also be very fun, due to the addition of various worldgen mods (YUNG's collection of mods, Dynamic Trees, Structory, Amplified Nether, Tectonic (which affects max world depth and height, and generation of vanilla terrain), Terralith (which adds new biomes), Explorer's/Natures compass, Incendium, Nullscape, and Upgrade Aquatic). Every place has gotten an addition.

Most of the remaining mods are simply QoL

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The player could choose whether to make it scarier with the Spooklamentary shader, or keep it fun (but still scary) with the Complementary shader.

(There's no Optifine, so nobody will accidentally end up downloading a virus while trying to set up this modpack.

There are already some modified config files that I changed for various mods. Be aware that this may change how the mods function, and they may not act as expected (for example, the spawnrate of "arthropod phobia expansion" mobs was decreased slightly, and the boss spawnrate was heavily decreased)

(The image was copyright free, but I wouldn't feel right adding it without giving proper representation, so here's the dude who made it: https://www.pexels.com/@chrisjmitchell/)
