Tastes Like Vanilla+ is a light modpack designed to enhance the vanilla gameplay experience, without requiring server-side mods.

Minecraft is a beautiful game which has stood the test of time throughout it's long life. Rather than fully reimagine the game, Tastes Like Vanilla+ aims to enhance the base game. Rediscover the magical feelings we all hold so dearly of our first times on Minecraft.
The core themes of the pack are exploration, rediscovery, and advancement. The pack is "designed" to challenge players with various difficulty increases, encouraging cautious exploration, to enable building with countless additions to decorative blocks, and to incentivize long-term "grinding" with the technological based mods and added achievements to give players a reason to play beyond the "two week" phase.
The pack isn't perfect, but if you want to enjoy Minecraft beyond the first two weeks, it'll help allow you. Just remember -- Minecraft isn't competitive. The "best" does not matter. Your goal isn't to reach the destination: it's to enjoy the journey.
