No reviews yet
Terminal Velocity (Revamp) is an expert “apocalypse engineering” pack for 1.21.1 NeoForge: radiation, violent storms, hardened shelter progression, and rare Lost Cities scavenging runs.
Themed around heavy machinery, factories, and automation reminiscent of the Industrial Revolution.
Set in a world after a major catastrophe, focusing on survival, scavenging, and rebuilding in a devastated landscape.
Centered around complex tech and/or magic where large-scale automation is necessary, often taking many hours to craft items and hundreds or thousands of hours to fully complete.
Centers on surviving in harsh conditions, managing resources, and fending off PvE threats.
Features complex tech, often requiring intricate setups and resources.
Features machines that process raw materials or automation processes.
Contains handmade maps or world presets with adventure map features. Typically features highly detailed builds of larger scales than seen in procedural world generation.
Ideal for small groups of players or cooperative gameplay.
Includes quality of life improvements and small tweaks to enhance and customize gameplay.
Designed to be difficult and challenging for experienced players, often with many hours of gameplay.
Introduces new game mechanics and systems designed specifically for this mod or modpack.

Description
The Nova Matrix: Terminal Velocity (Revamp)
Terminal Velocity is the expert Nova Matrix pack. This isn’t cozy survival with extra mods — it’s apocalypse engineering.
You’re operating a facility in a world where storms are violent, the surface is irradiated, and the only long-term answer is shelter, resilience, and automation.
Important: This file is the modern revamp build (Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge). The legacy 1.12.2 pack is preserved in older files.
What this pack is about
- Shelter matters. A roof is survival. A hardened shelter is progression.
- The environment is the main antagonist. Mobs are problems — the sky is worse.
- Exploration is a mission, not a hobby. You go out for resources, then you get back inside.
- Industry is a response to pressure. Automation buys time and stability.
Core mechanics (Phase 1)
Radiation (Fallout Protocol)
- Radiation exposure scales from 0 → 100
- Shelter tiers matter: EXPOSED / SHELTERED / HARDENED
- Decontamination: wash off radiation in water only when safe/hardened
- PPE matters: full armor set blocks debuffs/damage (armor becomes your “time outside” timer)
Storm pressure
- Weather is gameplay. Expect real storm windows that change how you move and operate.
- Rare city scavenging (intended setup)
- The Overworld is meant to be Lost Cities (Wasteland) with cities extremely rare
- Cities are “mission targets”, not constant noise
World setup (do this for the intended experience)
When creating a new world:
- World Type: The Lost Cities
- Profile/Preset: Wasteland
- City chance: set to 0.0003 (rare cities)
If you don’t do this, the pack still runs — but you won’t get the intended “rare city mission” gameplay loop.
Starting out
You’ll start with a basic bunker setup designed for small groups:
- Multiple bunks (co-op friendly)
- Basic starter supplies
- A built-in Patchouli Survival Manual: Terminal Velocity: Survival Manual
Shaders (included)
This pack includes Hysteria Shaders via Iris + Sodium.
Recommended shader settings for compatibility with Weather2:
- Disable shader clouds / volumetric clouds
- Keep bloom low (readability matters)
- Don’t crank night darkness unless you want brutal nights
Performance notes
This revamp build is intentionally lean and includes performance tooling/mods.
- Recommended RAM: 8GB (more if you push render distance or shaders)
sparkis included for profiling if something feels wrong.
Mod list (v0.1.0 baseline)
Core:
- Fallout Protocol (Terminal Velocity custom systems)
- The Lost Cities
- Weather2 + CoroUtil
- Mekanism (+ Generators)
Quality / UX: - JEI
- Jade
- AppleSkin
- Patchouli
- Xaero’s Minimap + World Map
Performance / Tools: - Sodium + Iris
- ModernFix
- FerriteCore
- spark
(Plus small Mekanism helper add-ons for JEI/Jade display)
Roadmap (high level)
- v0.2: loot spine + world shaping + storm/radiation tuning
- v0.3+: deeper systems (filtration, advanced decon, contamination hooks, etc.)
Expect frequent changes early — this is the foundation release.
