About

Description

Overview:

The Dragon's Wrath is a story-based, questing modpack that takes place following the Ender Dragon's defeat. It is a shorter, lighter modpack that is meant to currently be played in single player.

The Dragon's Wrath is designed to make the world a struggle, especially early on. In addition, this modpack does not include typical mods that change or help early progression such as Ex Nihilo or Project E. Progression is through quests that offer rewards or insight into different options that can be beneficial. While the quests will take you through some hand-picked mods, they will not take you from beginning to end. The quests are focused on a specific item or block that can help you in your journey and progress the story. However, nothing in the mods are gated. If you would like to progress further into a mod, you can.

Lore:

Below is a synopsis of the story this modpack creates. It does not provide specific detail that will ruin the ending. It's just lore:

As the Ender Dragon was slain, it produced a massive, destructive blast comprised of its wrath and fury. This scorched the Overworld leaving nothing behind but a barren wasteland. Meteors from the blast have slammed into what's left of the Overworld's terrain. The Nether was completely destroyed by the dragon's rage.

Very little survived the Ender Dragon's wrath in the Overworld. Structures that may still be standing are dilapidated and crumbling. Resources have mainly been destroyed including trees, stone, ores, sand, and clay all the way to bedrock. Mobs did survive the blast. However, they are completely mutated. They are hybrids that combine the worst of 2 Overworld mobs into one evil creature. Other worlds have also noticed the devastation created by the Ender Dragon and, in time, will send recon units to gather information. If they feel threatened or feel they could conquer the crippled Overworld, they will send more than just scouts. Even the weather is against you.

With the help of some familiar allies, unique creations, a little technology, and some beneficial magic you set out on your quest to restore the Overworld. Can it be done?

Additional Information:

- For single Player, the World Type is "Wastelands"  For servers: "level-type=ezwastelands" Multiplayer is not recommended due to day/night cycles increasing difficulty.

- This modpack DOES have a definitive ending, like most stories do. It is not a sandbox experience or open-ended.

- /home and /spawn do not work. /back does work. You cannot claim or load chunks.

- Use the option in the Quest Book to form a party/team in multiplayer. Not FTB Utilities.

- This is my first questing and/or story-based modpack. Any feedback or comments are greatly appreciated!
