Description

Welcome to The Epic Zone!

- Developer's Note -

The Epic Zone is a mod pack designed for larger groups of players. While it can theoretically be played in single-player, the sheer amount of content present in this pack may be a bit much for some players to handle by themselves.

 - End of Developer's Note -

The Epic Zone brings a wide variety of content to the world of Minecraft, from Magic to Tech to Dimensions, just about all bases are covered here. The original concept for this pack was to make a large, open-ended pack with lots of branches to go down, allowing players in groups to explore different mods, and contribute their efforts to the group as a whole. Whether or not you or your group play like that is up to you, but that was the original intent with this pack.

Main Tech Mods

  • Advanced Rocketry
  • BuildCraft
  • Immersive Engineering + Petroleum
  • NuclearCraft: Overhauled
  • Refined Storage
  • Techguns

Main Magic Mods

  • Apotheosis
  • Astral Sorcery
  • Bewitchment
  • Blood Magic
  • Botania
  • Electroblob's Wizardry + Twilight Forest Pack
  • Thaumcraft + Various Expansions

Dimension Mods

  • Atum 2
  • Better Nether
  • End: Reborn
  • Nether Ex
  • Stygian End: Biome Expansion
  • The Aether
  • The Beneath
  • The Erebus
  • The Twilight Forest

Most of the content and recipes in the mods are untouched, but some changes have been made:

  • Duplicate ores were removed, and most ores convert for every recipe between mods
  • Some recipes were changed for balance reasons (Although, with this many mods, how can it possibly be balanced?)
  • The Beneath is not accessed with the teleporter and is now accessed by breaking through the bottom of the overworld.
  • The Beneath has also been made much more difficult to navigate and survive, more monsters, radiation, and total darkness. This increase in difficulty is offset by a large increase to ores in the form of massive ore deposits with ore counts in the 1000s, and one of the only 2 areas in the pack where Uranium and Thorium generate, the other one being the Nuclear Wasteland biome.
