Description
Introduction
Vanilla Frontier+ is a lightweight Vanilla+ modpack designed to enhance the classic Minecraft experience while keeping the core gameplay familiar and balanced. The pack focuses on improving performance, exploration, and visual quality without adding complicated mechanics or overwhelming players with large progression systems.
The goal of the pack is simple. Make Minecraft feel like a polished version of vanilla.
With carefully selected mods, Vanilla Frontier+ improves world generation, exploration, stability, and quality of life features while maintaining the original feel of Minecraft survival.
⸻
Exploration & World Generation
The world generation is enhanced while still feeling natural and vanilla like. As you explore the world you will discover...
- Hundreds of custom structures
- Unique dungeons and ruins
- Expanded villages and settlements
- Improved Nether structures
- Enhanced End structures
- Hidden locations and points of interest across the world
These additions make exploration feel rewarding without completely changing Minecraft’s natural generation style.
⸻
Visual Experience
The modpack includes Complementary Shaders, which are enabled by default using the Potato preset. This preset is specifically chosen to provide the best balance between visual improvement and performance.
All shader settings are configured for maximum optimisation, and players are free to adjust or increase the settings based on their system’s performance.
If your system cannot run shaders, they can be safely disabled.
⸻
Shader Alternative (For Low-End Systems)
If you choose to disable shaders, it is recommended to enable the included Dynamic Skies resource pack for improved sky visuals.
To enable it:
- Open Options → Resource Packs
- Enable Dynamic Skies
- Move it to the bottom of the active resource pack list
This ensures it loads correctly and provides a nicer sky without needing shaders.
⸻
Screenshots
The screenshots included on this page only show a small portion of what can be discovered in the world. The modpack contains many more generated structures, environments, and locations that would require hundreds of images to fully showcase.
Examples include:
- Custom villages
- Unique structures and ruins
- Enhanced Nether locations
- Improved End structures
- Scenic world generation
The best way to experience the pack is simply by exploring the world yourself.
⸻
Additional Tools
The modpack also includes a few optional tools for building and creativity:
- WorldEdit
- Litematica
- Mini Hud
These tools are included for convenience but are disabled by default and are not required for normal gameplay. If you wish to use them, simply locate them within your Modrinth instance and enable them.
⸻
Keybinds
Some mod keybinds have been adjusted to avoid conflicts. Please review the controls and feel free to customise them to your preference.
⸻
Feedback
If you encounter any issues, have suggestions, or would like to provide feedback, feel free to reach out. Feedback helps improve future updates of the pack.
