About

Description

This pack fundamentally re-structures early-game progression and survival. Players must adopt a slow, deliberate approach, as basic resources and tools are much less abundant.

The most basic action—turning a log into planks—now requires an axe, a furnace requires different tiers of stone, and stone tools will need to be bound with rope.

Central to the pack is a theme of a 'Tool' requirement for crafting.
These tools include Axes, Knives, and Hammers.

A tool is damaged during crafting, but returned unless destroyed.

Legendary Survival Overhaul furthers the difficulty by essentially adding a ticking clock, you must regulate your temperature or lose hunger and thirst (a new hunger-style resource that must be maintained)

LSO also introduces a bodypart damage system, your legs can break, you can be temporarily blinded, the effects vary between which part is damaged and will become extremely troublesome if left unmended.

To make those resources matter much more; Spice of Life and Sturdy farmland work together to make hoarding food very difficult. A varied diet is necessary, as eating the same thing day to day will diminish the hunger restored.

Crops will only grow a single stage per day and must be watered directly, so amassing crops will require regular maintenance.

This is a challenge mode - I have never been able to beat the game with this modlist, and I'd like to see what ways people can come up with to overcome it. You'd need to be pretty clever.

You won't get a tutorial; you'll need to figure things out using the tools provided. EMI will guide you.
