Description

Toolgun: Flowting

A small addon for Create Aeronautics: Toolgun that adds a new enchantment: Flowting, beeing used in the Modpack Aero and Additions (AaA).

Flowting lets your survival Magnetic Gun "park" a sub-level (any physical structure you're moving with the gun) in mid-air, instead of it dropping the moment you let go.

What does Flowting do?

Flowting has 3 levels:

  • Level 1 – the sub-level stays airborne and glides down slowly.
  • Level 2 – it glides down even slower than level 1, staying up longer.
  • Level 3 – it hovers completely in place, with no downward drift at all.

Controls

Hold right-click to grab and lift a sub-level with the gun as usual. Then press left-click to engage Flowting for that sub-level - the same way the Creative Gun's "freeze" works, just for the survival gun with a gentle glide instead of a hard stop.

Once engaged, Flowting keeps running for as long as it wants - you can put the gun away, switch hotbar slots, whatever. It only ends when either:

you hold the Flowting gun again and press left-click to manually release it, or the gun's durability hits its floor (see below) - everything drops automatically. Durability While Flowting is active, the gun slowly loses durability - even while it isn't in your hand. It can never actually break: once only 10 durability remains, the drain stops and whatever was floating immediately falls.

Drain speed is different per level: level 1 is slowest, level 2 is medium, level 3 is fastest.

How do I get the enchantment?

Enchanting table: enchant a plain book, then combine it onto the gun in an anvil. Anvil with a suitable enchanted book (obtained another way). Command: /enchant @s toolgun_flowting:flowting 3 while holding the gun.

Requirements

Create, Create Aeronautics, Create Aeronautics: Toolgun, Sable — Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge.
