Wide AE2 Terminals

Tired of scrolling through your ME system 9 columns at a time on a big screen? Wide AE2 Terminals widens the Applied Energistics 2 terminals: the number of storage columns adapts to the width of your window.

The storage area grows, while your inventory and crafting area keep their usual size and stay centered below it.

Supported terminals

  • Applied Energistics 2: ME terminal, crafting terminal, pattern encoding terminal, pattern access terminal, wireless terminal, portable cells
  • AE2 Wireless Terminals (optional): wireless crafting, pattern encoding and pattern access terminals
  • ExtendedAE (optional): extended pattern access terminal, wired and wireless

In the pattern access terminals, each pattern provider's slots fill the wider rows: a 36-slot extended pattern provider fits on 2 rows of 18 instead of 4 rows of 9.

Configuration

Client config (Mods → Wide AE2 Terminals → Config):

  • Storage Column Count: 0 adapts to the window width (default), or a fixed number of columns (minimum 9)
  • Max Storage Columns: upper limit for the adaptive mode (default 18, 0 = unlimited)
  • Side Margin: space kept free on each side of the terminal, e.g. for JEI (default 120)

The terminal height still follows AE2's own "terminal style" setting.

Compatibility

  • Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge
  • Applied Energistics 2 19.2.17 or later 19.2.x
  • Client-side only: not needed on the server, and you can join servers that don't have it
