Anomaly Bureau

The dimensional barrier is fracturing. They're coming — and you're the only containment officer on duty.
Anomaly Bureau is a NeoForge mod (Minecraft 1.21.1) built around a single theme: containing anomalies. Unstable dimensional rifts tear open across the world, spilling out interdimensional creatures known as Dimensional Miners. Armed with a Reality Anchor and an Abnormal Cage, it's up to you to seal the rifts and contain the escapees before reality itself slips out of control.

🌀 Rift

The invisible threat lurking in your world. As you explore and accumulate enough travel distance, rifts have a chance to tear open on the surface near you (a safe zone is enforced around world spawn, and rift density is capped — your base won't turn into Swiss cheese).
Each rift has its own Tier and Stability, and will continuously spawn Dimensional Miners as long as it remains open. Ignore it at your own peril.

⛏ Dimensional Miner

An otherworldly miner crawled out of the rifts. A neutral mob: it panics and flees when hurt, wanders around, and curiously watches you go about your day. Its quirk? It periodically drops random minerals — coal, iron, copper, gold, redstone, lapis, quartz, amethyst shards, and even diamonds and emeralds.
Less of a menace, more of a walking ore vein. Farm them for resources, or contain them on sight — the choice is yours.

⚓ Reality Anchor

Standard-issue containment equipment. Use it on a rift to seal it permanently — with a beacon-like deactivation sound and dissipating violet particles, reality settles back into place. The anchor takes damage with every use, so keep spares in your pack.

✦ Suggested Gameplay Loop

  1. Explore → spot an ominous rift torn open on the surface
  2. Decide → capture Miners with the cage to build a mineral farm, or skip straight to containment
  3. Contain → slam a Reality Anchor into the rift and seal it for good
  4. Escalate → use the rare drops to gear up, and face higher-tier rifts
