🛠️ Kyo Anvil - A Comprehensive Server-Side Anvil Optimization Solution

Minecraft Version Fabric Loader Mod Version Platform

A premium server-side project from the Kyo Series, custom-designed for the TEA SERVER running on the Fabric platform.

This mod operates entirely server-side, delivering revolutionary improvements to the Vanilla Anvil without requiring players to install any client-side mods.

✨ Key Features

1. 🪽 Hybrid Elytra & Netherite Upgrades

  • Armor & Elytra Fusion: Allows players to directly combine a Chestplate with an Elytra on the Anvil to create Hybrid Elytra Armor.
  • Full Attribute Retention: Preserves 100% of enchantments and attribute stats (Armor, Armor Toughness, etc.) from the original equipment during fusion.
  • Standardized Naming & Costs: Automatically assigns standardized names and lore, and calculates reasonable repair costs for the Hybrid Elytra Armor. * Smithing Table Support: Deep integration with the Smithing Table, allowing Hybrid Wing Armor to be upgraded to the Netherite tier using Upgrade Templates, just like standard armor.

2. 🛑 Permanent Removal of the "Too Expensive" Penalty

  • Mechanism: Uses Mixin injection at the result creation stage (createResult) to continuously reset the DataComponents.REPAIR_COST attribute to 0.
  • Benefits: Items can be enchanted, repaired, or modified indefinitely without ever increasing the required experience level for subsequent operations.
  • Client-Side Handling: Automatically detects if the required level exceeds the client limit (\(\ge 40\)); the system forces the display to a configurable cap (default: 39) and keeps the result slot active so players can retrieve the item normally.

3. 🎨 Smart Colored Renaming System (& to Structured Components)

  • Color Code Translation: Allows users to use the familiar & character to apply vibrant colors, bold, strikethrough, italics, or the magical "obfuscated" (flickering) effect, adhering to standard Minecraft formatting codes.
  • Clean Input Display: Completely fixes the issue where raw formatting codes (e.g., §c) would appear in the text input box when placing an item; the text box now always displays clean, plain text.
  • Color Preservation: When applying enchanted books or repairing the durability of an already colored item, the system automatically cross-references the text box content. If the user does not modify the text itself, all original color formatting is preserved 100%—preventing it from reverting to default Vanilla white. * Format Inheritance: If a player edits the text (e.g., adding a prefix or suffix), the new text automatically inherits the color and style of the original weapon, eliminating the need to re-enter the initial color codes.

4. 🪙 "Anvil Restoration" Feature – Cost-Effective Repair

  • Economic Efficiency: Instead of forcing players to waste resources crafting an entirely new anvil (which requires 3 Iron Blocks), this feature allows them to use Iron Ingots to restore the anvil.
  • Usage: Hold an Iron Ingot in your hand and right-click directly on a heavily damaged or chipped anvil.
  • Restoration Stages: Damaged AnvilChipped AnvilPerfect Anvil (Normal). Each repair costs exactly 1 Iron Ingot and plays the authentic vanilla anvil sound effect.

5. 🎲 Reduced Anvil Damage/Breakage Rate via Dynamic Configuration

  • Directly modifies the AnvilBlock damage calculation logic using Mixin.
  • Allows lowering the default vanilla damage chance (12%) to a safer rate (defaulting to 2%), thereby extending the lifespan of anvils on high-population Survival servers. ---
