About

Description

Adds the ability to fill cauldrons with potions and dyed water, like in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Features in this mod are intended to closely match those in Minecraft Bedrock.

Potion Cauldrons:

  • Cauldrons can now be filled with potions, including splash and lingering potions.
  • Attempting to mix potions of different types will cause the potions to be lost.
  • Interacting with arrows will cause the arrows to be tipped, consuming the potion:
    • 1 level of potion can produce up to 16 tipped arrows.
    • 2 levels can produce up to 32 tipped arrows.
    • A full cauldron can produce up to one full stack of tipped arrows.
  • Effect particles are created when adding or removing a potion, and ambient particles created by cauldrons filled with potion.
  • The cauldron in Swamp Huts will now be filled with 1-2 levels of a random survival-brewable splash or regular potion.
  • Also supports potions with CustomPotionColor and CustomPotionEffects NBT.

Dyed Water Cauldrons:

  • Interacting with dye on a cauldron filled with water will now dye the water.
  • Dyes can be mixed by interacting with more dye.
  • Interacting with a piece of leather armor will dye the item.
  • Buckets and glass bottles can be used to remove water, but will produce regular water buckets and bottles.
  • Attempting to add more water will result in the water becoming undyed.

General:

  • Potion and dyed water cauldrons can be used as a Leatherworker villager's job site.
  • Fixes MC-132734 which causes water cauldron particles to be tinted based on their content's color.

Differences from Bedrock:

  • Updated sounds for interacting with cauldrons, instead of the old water splash sound:
    • Currently only applies to the new cauldrons added by this mod, but it is planned to add interaction sounds for vanilla cauldron interactions with no sound such as the item "cleaning" interactions.
  • Cauldrons can be filled with all potion types, including Awkward, Mundane, ect.
  • Splash and Lingering Water Bottles count as seperate potions from normal Water Bottles, but can still extinguish burning entities.

Mod Compatability:

  • Compatible with modded potions.
  • Compatible with modded dyes, such as those added by Dye Depot.
