## 🎭 Features

### Perfect Disguise
- Mimics look **exactly** like chests — same model, same size, same rotation
- Spawn naturally in the world or use spawn eggs
- Completely invisible until disturbed

### Two Behaviors
- **Aggressive Mimics** 🔴 — Sneak up on players when they're not looking
- **Passive Mimics** 🟢 — Harmless until you try to open them

### Dynamic Combat
- Leap attacks with smooth animations
- Tongue attack with particle effects
- Intelligent AI that tracks player line of sight
- No fall damage — they're built for jumping!

### Loot System
- Collects nearby items while disguised
- Drops stolen loot when killed
- Bonus drops: wood planks, bones, iron, gold, emeralds, diamonds

### Polished Experience
- Custom 3D spawn egg (looks like a chest!)
- Smooth animation transitions
- Block-aligned positioning
- Sound effects for opening, closing, attacking
- Particle effects on landing

## 📦 Installation

1. Install [Fabric Loader](https://fabricmc.net/use/)
2. Download [Fabric API](https://modrinth.com/mod/fabric-api)
3. Drop `bettermimic-1.0.0.jar` into your mods folder
4. Launch Minecraft 1.20.1

## 🎮 How to Play

Find mimics in:
- Creative inventory → **Spawn Eggs** tab
- Creative inventory → **Functional Blocks** tab
- Or use `/give @s bettermimic:mimic_spawn_egg`

### Tips
- Don't trust every chest!
- Aggressive mimics move when you're not looking
- They can't be pushed or knocked back
- High armor and knockback resistance
- Watch for subtle "breathing" animations
