Better Tooltips+

Better Tooltips Plus enhances the default Minecraft item tooltip system by adding clear, structured, and informative details to every item the player inspects. The goal of the mod is to present useful item information in a clean, readable format without altering gameplay balance or introducing unnecessary visual noise. All enhancements are client‑side only, ensuring full compatibility with any server and any modpack.

The mod introduces categorized tooltips that help players quickly understand what type of item they are holding. Items are automatically grouped into simple categories such as blocks or general items, allowing players to identify item roles at a glance. Each tooltip also displays the item’s rarity using color‑coded text that matches Minecraft’s internal rarity system, making it easier to distinguish common items from rare or epic ones.

Durability information is presented in a clear and detailed format. When inspecting a damageable item, the tooltip shows the current durability, maximum durability, and the percentage remaining. This allows players to monitor tool and weapon condition without guessing or opening additional menus.

Better Tooltips Plus also provides basic source information for items. Blocks are labeled as mined, while other items receive a general classification. This feature helps players understand where items typically originate without overwhelming them with unnecessary detail.
