Description

Blueprint Share

Have you ever seen an incredible vehicle or contraption made with Create Aeronautics and thought, “Whoa, that’s so cool! But I could never build something like that. I wish there were an easy way to share vehicles and contraptions between worlds.”

Well, now there is!  (Blueprint Share was created primarily with Create Aeronautics compatibility in mind)

Blueprint Share lets you copy Minecraft builds into portable share codes, save them for later, recreate them in another world, or send them directly to other players.

Select a region using the Blueprint Wand, export it as a share code, and paste that code wherever you want to use the build. Before placement, Blueprint Share displays a movable and rotatable preview so you can position everything precisely.

The mod copies ordinary blocks, block states, and supported block-entity data while performing safety checks to protect the destination world.

Features

  • Convert selected builds into portable text codes

  • Share blueprints without exchanging worlds or schematic files

  • Preview builds before placing them

  • Move previews one block at a time

  • Quickly move previews to your crosshair

  • Rotate previews clockwise or counterclockwise

  • Select positions in the air

  • Detect missing mods, blocks, and content

  • Optionally place compatible portions of incomplete blueprints

  • Automatically save exported blueprints in a local library

  • Rename and describe saved blueprints

  • Preserve supported block-entity data

  • Prevent blueprints from overwriting existing blocks

  • Undo and restore recent placements

  • Works in singleplayer and multiplayer

Getting the Blueprint Wand

Enter a world and run:

/wand

The Blueprint Wand will be added to your inventory.

The wand uses two positions to define the rectangular area you want to export.

Selecting a Build

Selecting Existing Blocks

  1. Hold the Blueprint Wand in your main hand.

  2. Left-click a block to set Position 1.

  3. Right-click another block to set Position 2.

  4. Everything inside the rectangular area between those positions becomes part of the selection.

Both selected corner blocks are included.

Selecting Positions in the Air

The wand can also select empty positions without requiring a block at each corner.

  1. Hold the Blueprint Wand.

  2. Aim into the air instead of at a block.

  3. A highlighted target position will appear in front of you.

  4. Use the mouse wheel to adjust the target’s distance.

  5. Left-click to set Position 1, or right-click to set Position 2.

The air target begins 8 blocks away and can be adjusted from 2 to 64 blocks.

Blueprint Wand Controls

  • Left-click — Set Position 1

  • Right-click — Set Position 2

  • Mouse wheel up — Move the air target farther away

  • Mouse wheel down — Move the air target closer

Mouse-wheel distance adjustment is active only while holding the Blueprint Wand, aiming at the air, and not previewing an imported blueprint.

Exporting a Build

  1. Use the Blueprint Wand to set Position 1 and Position 2.

  2. Press B to open the Blueprint Share menu.

  3. Select Export Selected Region.

  4. Once the share code is ready, open the Saved Blueprints section. Your blueprint will be saved there automatically, allowing you to name it and access its code even after closing and restarting the game. (You don't have to name it in order for it to be saved and used later, but naming would make it easier to find what you saved before)

  5. Send the copied code to another player or keep it for later.

Exported codes are automatically added to the Saved Blueprints library.

Blueprint codes can be long, so using the built-in Copy Code button is recommended.

Importing a Blueprint

  1. Press B to open the Blueprint Share menu.

  2. Select Import Code.

  3. Select Paste Clipboard, or paste an ESHARE1 code into the share-code field.

  4. Select Import & Check.

  5. Review any missing mods or unavailable content.

  6. A preview of the blueprint will appear in the world.

  7. Move and rotate the preview until it is positioned correctly.

  8. Press Enter to place it.

Positioning a Blueprint Preview

Blueprint previews can be moved one block at a time with the arrow, Page Up, and Page Down keys.

  • Left Arrow — Move one block toward negative X

  • Right Arrow — Move one block toward positive X

  • Up Arrow — Move one block toward negative Z

  • Down Arrow — Move one block toward positive Z

  • Page Up — Move the blueprint one block upward

  • Page Down — Move the blueprint one block downward

You can hold one of these keys to continue moving the blueprint in that direction.

The arrow keys follow the world’s X and Z axes rather than the direction the player is facing.

Moving a Preview to the Crosshair

Press G to move the blueprint directly to the position at your crosshair.

  • When looking at a block, the preview moves to the empty position beside the targeted face.

  • When looking into the air, the preview moves approximately 8 blocks in front of the camera.

After using G, you can make precise adjustments with the arrow, Page Up, and Page Down keys.

Rotating a Blueprint Preview

  • R — Rotate the blueprint 90 degrees clockwise

  • Shift + R — Rotate the blueprint 90 degrees counterclockwise

Rotation keeps the blueprint centered around approximately the same position, making it easier to compare different orientations.

Complete Preview Controls

  • G — Move the blueprint to your crosshair

  • R — Rotate 90 degrees clockwise

  • Shift + R — Rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise

  • Left Arrow — Move toward negative X

  • Right Arrow — Move toward positive X

  • Up Arrow — Move toward negative Z

  • Down Arrow — Move toward positive Z

  • Page Up — Move upward

  • Page Down — Move downward

  • Enter — Place the blueprint

  • X — Cancel the preview

The following controls can be changed in Minecraft’s Controls menu under the Blueprint Share category:

  • Open Blueprint Share

  • Move Blueprint to Crosshair

  • Rotate Blueprint

  • Place Blueprint

  • Cancel Blueprint Preview

Understanding the Preview

The in-world preview helps you inspect the blueprint before committing to placement.

It displays information such as:

  • Blueprint dimensions

  • Current rotation

  • Missing block count

  • Placement collisions

  • Placement controls

If the preview overlaps existing blocks, move it to a clear area before attempting placement.

Very large blueprints may use a simplified preview to preserve performance.

Missing Mods or Content

When an imported blueprint references unavailable blocks or content, Blueprint Share opens a compatibility review screen.

You can either:

  • Cancel the import

  • Choose Place Anyway

Choosing Place Anyway skips only unavailable blocks. It does not replace them with other blocks.

For a complete result, install every mod used by the original blueprint before importing it. If you proceed without them, those portions of the build will remain empty.

Saved Blueprints

Press B and select Saved Blueprints to access previously exported builds.

The library records each blueprint’s name, dimensions, block count, description, and share code.

From the library, you can:

  • Load a saved blueprint

  • Rename it

  • Add or edit its description

  • Copy its share code

  • Delete it

Use the Previous and Next buttons to move between library pages when you have many saved blueprints.

Placement Safety

Blueprint Share is designed to avoid damaging existing builds:

  • Blueprints cannot overwrite occupied blocks.

  • Every destination chunk must be loaded.

  • Placements cannot extend beyond the world border or build-height limits.

  • Missing content must be reviewed before placement.

  • Block-entity data is validated before any blocks are placed.

  • Invalid or unsafe block-entity data causes placement to be rejected.

  • Operator-only block data is checked.

  • Placement is rejected when no compatible blocks are available.

If placement fails because of a collision, move the preview to an empty location and try again.

Creative Mode and Permissions

Placement requires either:

  • Creative mode, or

  • Operator permission

This restriction exists because copied block-entity data may contain inventories or items.

Players without the required permission can still receive, inspect, save, and share blueprint codes, but they cannot place them.

Undoing and Restoring Placements

After a blueprint is placed, Blueprint Share provides a numbered undo token in chat.

Use:

/blueprintundo <token>

Replace <token> with the number shown in the placement message.

To restore a placement that was undone, use:

/blueprintback <token>

Use the restore token supplied by the mod after the undo operation.

Tokens help ensure that the correct placement is modified.

Installation

  1. Install Minecraft 1.21.1.

  2. Install NeoForge 21.1.243 or newer.

  3. Place the Blueprint Share .jar file in the instance’s mods folder.

  4. Launch the game.

For multiplayer, Blueprint Share must be installed on both the server and participating clients.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.21.1

  • NeoForge 21.1.243 or newer

  • Blueprint Share installed on both sides for multiplayer

  • Creative mode or operator permission for placement

Blueprint Limits

A single blueprint may contain up to:

  • 100,000 copied blocks

  • 256 blocks along any individual dimension

  • 262,144 blocks of total selected volume

  • 8,192 unique palette entries

Share codes may contain up to 700,000 characters.

These limits protect the client and server from excessively large  data.
