BOSS KEYS

ABOUT

In your travels you'll come across a number of new boss keys. These keys can unlock either overworld or nether spawners. Doing so rewards you with loot and deactivates the spawner. But it's not gone forever. Monster spawners can be reawakened with a number of blaze powder. Doing so returns the spawner to life, and rerolls the mob it features, perfect for any eventual mob farms you may build.

Conquering a spawner for a second time yields only a small amount of experience and allows for the spawner to be rerolled at a later date, preventing the farming of the spawner itself. Dungeon keys can be dropped by raid captains, found in woodland mansions, the deep dark, and can even be found on creepers when killed by illagers. Fortress keys can be found in nether fortress chests.

Two new music discs created by the amazing Mosswurks can obtained through conquering a spawner.

I highly reccomend using Redesigned Boss Keys if you want a more vanilla item design.

This mod is a fork of Oddities, a vanilla expansion which includes a myriad of new content. This mod encapsulates a portion of its features, and expands upon them with refined mechanics, textures, and more.
