About

Description

Carpet (Aternos version)

Carpet mod is a fabric mod that allows you to change many different game mechanics like movable block entities, TNT block destroying and much more. It also can display information about the mobcaps, the TPS and MSPT, etc. Other important features are for example tick warping, where you can simulate a certain amount of time in a few seconds and a few code optimizations. It's a fantastic mod for developing farms and other technical builds.

It also has a feature that allows you to spawn fake players, that act like real players in terms of chunk loading, mob spawning and random ticks, but can also walk, mine and place blocks.

Carpet mod was available on Aternos servers for quite some time. Aternos is a popular free server hoster, but it only stays constantly online as long as players are online. After a 7 minute countdown expired, the server shuts down. The countdown gets aborted if players join again. Now the problem was, that Aternos cant differentiate between real players and carpet mod fake players. So in theory your Aternos server can stay online 24/7. But that's totally against the Aternos concept. So Aternos banned carpet mod from their servers.

In this version, the /player command, which is used to spawn and control the fake players is removed. So you cant spawn fake players and keep your Aternos server online by using them anymore. And because Aternos is such a popular server hoster and carpet mod has so many other extremely useful functions (Including optimizations, which Aternos servers definetly need, because they arent the best) I decided to make this version.

So people can use carpet mod on Aternos servers again in the future. But that will only be possible if it gets popular enough. So if you want to help out, just press the download button.

If you encounter any issues, please report it on my Discord. For suggestions and critical opinions you can also use Discord.

There are 2 ways I manage the removal:

  1. 'fully removed': command just doesn't exist
  2. 'reaction removed': outputs something like "feature disabled" and no fake player can spawn

This Mod is not mine! It was originally created by gnembon and other Sci-Craft members. I only removed the /player function. It is published under the same license (MIT) as the original carpet mod. Parts of the description are also copied and only slightly adapted from a previous version of this mod by DillonB07, which I had nothing to do with.

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damage to your computer because of this mod. You have been warned. :-) This mod should be perfectly safe to use, and I guarantee that it isn't a virus. However, I can't guarantee that there will be no crashes or incompatibilities with other mods.
