3D Floating Chats

Bring your livestream chat into the world of Minecraft!

3D Floating Chats displays viewer messages as floating cards in your world, on your HUD, or in a side panel. Customize their appearance, add GIFs with sound, and control your presentation from Minecraft or another device.

Created by Loquendo2006d. The mod runs on the client and does not need to be installed on the server.

Your community inside Minecraft

• Connect multiple Twitch, Kick, and YouTube channels.
• Receive messages through Social Stream Ninja, Streamer.bot, or a local HTTP bridge, including platforms such as TikTok and Facebook.
• Identify messages with platform icons and custom colors.
• Highlight mentions, moderators, donations, and important messages based on the information provided by each connection.
• Press K to browse the current session’s history, filter by platform, and display missed messages again.
• Reply through the history screen or /fn commands when your Social Stream Ninja setup supports sending replies.

Design your own chat displays

Choose floating cards, a HUD overlay, or Mining Mode, which gathers messages in a movable side panel.

Customize:

• Themes, colors, animated RGB borders, opacity, and image backgrounds.
• Separate backgrounds for floating cards, the HUD, and Mining Mode.
• Text size, distance, height, duration, and the number of visible messages.
• Entry, exit, and hit animations.
• Included particles or custom PNG particles, with brightness, color, size, and dispersion controls.
• Appearance, hit, and notification sounds, including custom WAV and MP3 files.

Place displays in the world, let them follow you, or preserve their direction so you can turn to look at them. Move, scale, rotate, and pin cards, or enable physics to throw, kick, and bounce them.

GIFs and images with sound

Let your community trigger local media using messages such as:

When a message contains only the command, the media appears on its own, without an additional text card.

The gallery lets you search files, mark favorites, and configure position, size, duration, display destination, and sound for each resource. Show media in the world, on the HUD, or in both places. Associated audio stops when that media appearance ends.

The file size limit is configurable, up to 256 MB per file.

Control from your phone or browser

Open the web studio to switch modes, play GIFs, select profiles, replay messages, and access 166 presentation settings.

• Sidebar navigation.
• Red, blue, and black themes, with red selected by default.
• Device pairing through a link or QR code.
• Connection and privacy explanations in both the website and Minecraft.

The panel runs on your own PC and does not require an account. To use another device, enable local network access and connect both devices to a trusted network. The link and QR code grant control access—keep them private.

An interactive studio for your livestream

Add activities and visual elements for your community:

• Polls, races, trivia, a cooperative boss, and a maze.
• Viewer avatars and a collaborative pixel canvas.
• Missions, scoreboards, timers, and customizable panels.
• Scenes, event rules, and animation sequences.
• Profiles and resource packages to share.
• Optional OBS integration and collaboration between studios.
• Message narration, system voices, and Piper support.
• Optional summarization, translation, and dictation through services configured by the user.

Features that use FFmpeg, voice models, AI, or transcription require those components separately.

Installation and getting started

1. Install Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge for your Minecraft version. Fabric also requires Fabric API.
2. Download the JAR matching your exact Minecraft version and mod loader.
3. Place it in your mods folder.
4. Join a world and press F8 to configure the mod.
5. Connect your chat or use Test Mode to explore its features.

Simulated messages are clearly labeled as tests and are excluded from normal chat history.

Compatibility

Separate files are provided for Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge, targeting Minecraft:

Known issue: a reported startup problem with Forge 26.1 remains unresolved.
