Description

🧩 Checkers World is a mod that adds a brand-new world preset called Checkers.
Instead of standard terrain, Checkers generates a fully custom checker-pattern world made from two block types you choose. It is designed for clean testing spaces, creative build canvases, automation setups, and controlled challenge worlds.
✨ What it adds When creating a new world, select the Checkers world type and customize:
- First Block Primary checker block (default: minecraft:white_concrete)
- Second Block Secondary checker block (default: minecraft:gray_concrete)
- Depth Level How many vertical layers are generated downward
- Segment Size Size of each checker cube segment (default: 5, configurable bigger or smaller)
- Starting Y Vertical level where generation starts
- Bedrock Bottom Toggle Choose whether to place bedrock at the bottom generated layer
🌍 Generation behavior
- The world is generated as alternating checkered cube segments in X/Y/Z.
- Segment size is fully configurable.
- Depth is configurable and generated downward from your chosen starting Y.
- Optional bedrock floor at the bottom of generated depth.
- No vanilla structures, landmarks, or biome decoration are generated in Checkers worlds.
🛠️ Why use Checkers World
- Build on a predictable, perfectly structured terrain
- Prototype farms/redstone/automation without worldgen noise
- Create custom challenge maps with controlled block palettes
- Quickly spin up clean worlds for modpack testing
