Chicken's Additions

Chickens Additions is a kitchen-sink expansion mod built out of pure convenience, chaotic ideas, and late-night survival sessions. What originally began as a simple resource chicken project gradually became our group's personal playground—a collection of every quality-of-life tweak, quirky mechanic, custom block, and automation tool that my friends and I wished existed in vanilla or our modpacks.

Rather than sticking to a single rigid theme, the mod grew organically. If an idea made our playthroughs smoother, weirder, or just flat-out more fun, we coded it in.

Tiered Resource Chickens & Automated Production

• Tiered Poultry Progression: Breed, mutate, and manage distinct tiers of resource-laying chickens spanning basic vanilla drops (Flint, Quartz, Iron) to late-game tech staples (Osmium, Silicon, Zinc, Cobalt, Netherite).

• Specialized Feed Conversion: Skip tedious early-tier breeding by converting baseline adult chickens directly into Tier 1 variants using crafted feed.

• The Hen Box: A dedicated block entity that automatically welcomes ready hens, extracts their resources, and manages their laying cooldowns without entity clutter.

Absurd & Handy Farming Quirks

• Milking Endermen: Grab a bucket and interact with an Enderman to collect Liquid Ender, unlocking an in-world method to craft and assemble custom End Portal Frames.

• Pork Overhaul & Bacon Enchantment: Pigs now drop useful Leather natively. Slap the custom Bacon Enchantment onto your weapons to guarantee savory bacon drops upon slaughter.

Mining Dimension & Survival Utility

• Dedicated Mining Dimension: A pristine, flat underground layer designed for quarrying, branch mining, and resource gathering without wrecking your Overworld base landscape.

• Custom Tools & Storage: Specialized blocks and utility equipment tailored to farm automation, mob handling, and inventory logistics.

Integrated In-Game AI Companion

• In-Game Chat Assistant: A built-in AI chatbot accessible straight from the chat interface to answer mod questions, help calculate complex breeding paths, or keep you company while you mine.
