Redstone no longer has to share one crowded channel.

Please leave a comment if you experience any issues with this mod, or if you'd like to request mod compatibility.

I aimed for parity with vanilla redstone with all colors, so each color can act exactly like redstone, but now you can overlap them, mix for more colors.
Violette will carry red and blue signals, Emberite will carry yellow + red signals, Viridite Dust will carry green + blue signals.
This makes "And" gates really easy, or signal intersections.

Chromatic Redstone adds independent red, blue, and yellow signal
channels, then lets you combine them into purple, orange, green, and white
circuits. Cross wires without accidental interference, filter individual
components, convert signals between colors, and build compact logic that
ordinary redstone cannot express.

Recipes:

Glowstone Dust + Redstone Dust = Lumite Dust.
Redstone Dust + Lapis Lazuli = Lazurite Dust.

Mix the three colors to get combinations, or craft them back into their base color.

Seven signal colors

- Redstone carries red.
- Lazurite carries blue.
- Lumite carries yellow.
- Violette carries red and blue.
- Emberite carries red and yellow.
- Viridite carries blue and yellow.
- Prismite carries all three channels.
Composite dust can cross and combine channels while preserving the underlying signals. Powered dust uses clear color and particle feedback, so you can see exactly what is moving through a circuit.

Filters for redstone components

Right-click compatible components with dust to assign an input or output color. Apply the same color again to clear that filter.
Filters let a piston ignore the wrong wire, let a repeater convert one channel into another, and let a comparator keep its inputs separate. Filter particles remain visible so complicated builds are still readable.

Chromatic repeaters, comparators, and lamps

Repeaters and comparators support colored input and output routing while retaining their familiar timing and comparison behavior. Chromatic lamps mix active channels into the resulting light color.
Red plus blue becomes purple. Blue plus yellow becomes green. All three channels produce white.
Every dust color has a matching target block. Their signal strength depends on shot accuracy just like a normal target.

Compact signal blocks

Every dust can be compressed into a full signal block using nine dust. Each block constantly emits its own channel or channel combination and can be crafted back into nine dust at any time.

Optional Create compatibility

When Create is installed, Redstone Links can transmit chromatic signals wirelessly.

- Unfiltered transmitters pass through the active color.
- Input filters accept only matching channels.
- Receiver output filters can preserve or convert the transmitted color.
- Color changes update immediately even when the numeric signal strength stays the same.
Create is optional. Chromatic Redstone works without it.

The comparitor is the most complicated part about this, while for a single channel it behaves as normal, it has additional filters you can set by right clicking with a dust of any color.
Setting a filter to the sides of a comparitor will make the filtering channel specific.
Setting an output filter will make the comparitor output that color only.
Setting an input filter will cause the comparitor to only accept signals that have at least 1 power of each channel of the filter.

I'm planning additional features for the future.

Requirements:

- Minecraft 1.21.1 only
- NeoForge 21.1.243 or newer
- Create 6.x is optional and only required for chromatic Redstone Link support
