Installation
Ensure that you add the zip to both your resource packs AND data packs. If you aren't sure how to do that, it's the same process as any other Minecraft resource pack/data pack, and there are many tutorials you can easily find online.
Information
This pack allows all starter Pokemon (as well as their evolutions) to be dyed using the 16 Minecraft dyes. Colors also vary for their shiny variants, typically becoming more/less saturated compared to their normal counterparts. Colors can also be removed using a water bucket, just like sheep!
The pack uses layers to color specific parts of the Pokemon, leaving the rest of it the same color as it was before, allowing you to add a little bit of extra personal flair to your partners.
In future updates, I may tweak the way certain dyes affect certain Pokemon, as the initial variants aren't organized around specific colors for specific Pokemon - it'll be up to you for now to decide what looks good and what doesn't!
Compatibility
The variants won't work for any starters or forms for the base starters added by other datapacks, but they shouldn't cause any issues unless you dye those Pokemon. Mod/datapack authors can override the layers I've added (adding their own dyable variants or removing them from certain forms) by using the layer names in the resolver files.
