Description
Configurable Sponge
Change how far a sponge reaches and how much water it soaks up. Two settings, no new blocks or items, and the sponge keeps every other vanilla behaviour.
Features
- Reach:
maxDepthsets how many blocks away a sponge can pull water from. - Capacity:
maxCountsets how many blocks a sponge can absorb before it is full. - Live reload: edit the config while the game or server is running, and the next sponge uses the new numbers. No restart needed.
- Fabric and NeoForge, for Minecraft 26.1.2.
Configuration
The config file is config/configurablesponge-common.toml:
[sponge]
maxDepth = 6
maxCount = 64
| Setting | Default | Vanilla |
|---|---|---|
maxDepth |
6 | 6 |
maxCount |
64 | 65 |
The sponge's own block counts towards maxCount, so a sponge removes one block less than the value you set. Set maxCount = 65 to match vanilla exactly.
Very large values can lag a server, because every removed block is a block update. Raise them gradually.
