Description

CorviCraft Spawn Utility is a mod that allows for the configuration of entity spawn rates.  On its own, CC Spawn Utility allows for the configuration of vanilla entities, letting users add new spawns or remove existing ones to vanilla and modded biomes alike.  However, the mod's true intention was to be used as a dependency, allowing for mods to easily implement robust and dynamic spawn configurations for their own entities.

If this mod showed up in your pack unexpectedly, it was likely added as a dependency by another mod.  If you're sure you've removed the mod dependent on it and have no need for the vanilla spawn configuration feature, you can safely remove it from the pack.

What happened to the 1.0 file?

CorviCraft Spawn Utility received a major overhaul in 2.0 that would break compatibility with dependent mods.  As the original version had received minimal traffic, I decided to archive it entirely to prevent new downloads and minimize confusion when it comes to compatibility for dependent projects.  My hope is that this will be the only breaking update/overhaul, so I wanted to get it out of the way early in development, when I realized the flaws in the old system.

Why does the base mod only allow vanilla entities to be configured?

In order to avoid unnecessary conflicts with other mods, CorviCraft Spawn Utility is only set up to affect vanilla entities.  This is because many mods add their own spawn rates, and CorviCraft's override feature could remove those spawns, leading to confusion.

Will you update to 1.19+?

No.  Entity spawning already uses a more flexible JSON configuration system in newer versions of the game, thus rendering this mod effectively obsolete.

Will you backport to older versions?

Maybe.  Depends on my time and how much interest and need there is.
