CraftSkip
LESS CLICKING. MORE CRAFTING.
Ever had all the materials for something, but didn't feel like crafting all the stuff in between?
CraftSkip figures out how to craft what you want using the items you already have. It handles the intermediate recipes for you, so you can spend less time clicking around in crafting menus.
Vanilla Recipe Book | JEI | EMI | AE2 | Refined Storage
⚡ Skip the boring steps
Let's say you've got a stack of oak logs and want to make a chest.
Normally, you'd have to turn those logs into planks first, then use the planks to craft the chest.
With CraftSkip, you can just select the chest recipe. It'll figure out what needs to be crafted first and handle the entire process for you.
No free items, no cheated recipes. It still uses the materials you'd normally need.
See what you can actually craft
CraftSkip highlights recipes in yellow when you've got enough materials to make them, even if those materials need to be crafted into something else first.
You can browse the vanilla recipe book like normal, but now you'll actually know which items are possible to make.

➜ Know what you're using
Want to know exactly what a recipe will cost before crafting it?
Hover over a recipe to see the crafting plan.
CraftSkip shows you:
- The materials it'll consume
- How many crafting operations are needed
- Whether the recipe can currently be crafted
- How much you can make from your materials
You can preview everything before CraftSkip starts using your materials.

⚡ One click, multiple recipes
Once you've found something you want to craft, just click the recipe and let CraftSkip do its thing.
It works through the crafting grid, collects intermediate items and keeps crafting until your requested item is finished.
Click - Craft the selected recipe.
Shift-click - Craft as many as your available materials allow.
This also works with longer crafting chains. No need to manually craft all the ingredients one by one.

✓ Your items stay safe
Automated crafting is pretty useful, but the last thing you want is a mod accidentally using something you wanted to keep.
CraftSkip has a few safeguards to help prevent that.
- Inventory checks - Makes sure you've still got everything needed before crafting.
- Protected items - Avoids ingredients you've marked as protected.
- Ingredient preferences - Lets you choose which ingredients should be used when alternatives exist.
- Recipe alternatives - Works with different valid ingredients and recipe layouts.
- Crafting remainders - Accounts for items returned by recipes, such as buckets.
- Custom item data - Avoids unsupported items containing data it can't safely preserve.
- Inventory space - Checks that the resulting items will fit before starting.
- Safe cancellation - Stops if something changes unexpectedly during crafting.
CraftSkip also checks that your cursor and crafting grid are clear before starting.
If your inventory changes or a crafting step doesn't go as expected, it stops rather than continuing with an outdated plan.
⚡ More crafting, less inventory juggling
CraftSkip isn't trying to replace Minecraft's crafting system. It just makes the annoying parts a little easier.
The mod can work through recipes with multiple steps, consider alternative ingredients and figure out what needs to be made first.
It also supports:
- Multi-step recipe planning
- Maximum craftable amount calculations
- Ingredient preferences and protected items
- Crafting recipes with different grid dimensions
- Recipe remainder handling
- Automatic recipe unlocking in singleplayer
In singleplayer, CraftSkip can automatically unlock recipes so they appear in your recipe book without having to discover each one manually.

Works with your favorite recipe mods
CraftSkip is designed to work alongside the recipe and storage mods you might already be using.
Supported integrations:
- Vanilla Recipe Book - Highlight craftable recipes and handle intermediate crafting steps directly from Minecraft's recipe interface.
- JEI (Just Enough Items) - Compatibility with JEI recipe browsing.
- EMI - Compatibility with EMI recipe browsing.
- Applied Energistics 2 (AE2) - Integration with AE2 crafting workflows.
- Refined Storage (RS) - Integration with Refined Storage crafting workflows.
You don't have to completely change the way you craft just to use CraftSkip.
CRAFT LESS. MAKE MORE.
CraftSkip is a small quality-of-life mod for anyone who's tired of going through the same crafting steps over and over.
It's especially useful in larger modpacks, where making one item can mean crafting a whole bunch of other stuff first.
Less time in crafting menus, more time actually playing Minecraft.
