Create: Life is bitter

Life is Bitter adds a few extra challenges to Minecraft progression, making the game a bit longer and more reliant on Create. Iron tools and armor are now nerfed, so you’ll want to aim for steel instead! Start by producing steel from iron and charcoal.

If you don’t have a burner yet, don’t worry—the new copper burner is a cheaper, early-game option. It’s less efficient and can’t super burn, but it’s good enough to get you going.

Even if you try to skip the steel tier, you’ll still need steel to for diamond armor. By combining crushed diamonds with steel sheets, you can craft diamond steel sheets, the base material for diamond armor.

The final challenge comes with Elytra fireworks. They now require a special flight fuel. Begin by making sulfur and nitre, then combine them with zinc to create rocket fuel. 

How do i get nitre you ask? Good question, you can make it from urine - and you can get urine by 'milking' pigs

Once you get rocket fuel, pour it into a bowl to form solid fuel, and combine that with cardboard to make boost fireworks for flight. (you can still make fireworks containing firework stars with gunpowder)
