About

Description

CustomMeteor (Forge 1.20.1)

CustomMeteor is a lightweight AE2 addon for modpack makers. It lets you control meteorite blocks and terrain behavior without editing AE2 itself.

Features

  • Customize meteorite shell/core/buds blocks
  • Weighted block entries and bud chance
  • Optional biome-based crater and fallout overrides
  • Three working modes: TEMPLATE, PALETTE, KUBEJS

Modes

  • TEMPLATE: use structure template custommeteor:ae2_meteorite
  • PALETTE: read config/custommeteor/meteorite_palette.json (with tag fallback)
  • KUBEJS: read startup scripts and apply weighted rules

Dependencies

  • Required: Forge 1.20.1, Applied Energistics 2
  • Optional: KubeJS (required only for KUBEJS mode)

KubeJS Example

METEORITE_PALETTE

Tutorial

Full setup and format guide:

Notes

  • Keep ae2:sky_stone_block in shell entries so AE2 compass tracking stays reliable
  • Restart the game after changing config or scripts
