DefaultOptions Keybind Companion

A small Minecraft 26.2 Fabric client-side mod intended to work alongside the Default Options mod.

The purpose of this mod is to give modpack authors a process to reapply keybinds after the options.txt file has already been generated. This mod will look for the keybinds file that is generated by Default Options, stored in: config/defaultoptions/keybindings.txt

The mod only works with keybindings, it does not alter any other settings or options. It will only read the keybindings.txt that was generated by the Default Options mod.

Configuration

On first launch the mod creates:

This mod has a single setting available, it will either reapply the keybindings or do nothing.

forceApplyDefaultKeyBindings = false

The mod does nothing.

forceApplyDefaultKeyBindings = true

The mod will read the Default Options keybinds file and reapply all the keybinds listed in that file.

If the operation fails, the flag remains true and will be retried on next game launch. Errors are logged if the process was not successful.

This mod was designed for use in the Transformed Storage modpack.
