Dwarves

⛰️ Gates carved into the mountains

  • Dwarf hideouts generate naturally in mountain biomes. The world generator searches the terrain for a real, steep mountain face and carves the gate right into it, always facing the valley. No two gates sit the same way.
  • The gate: a paved road lined with lanterns, a wide staircase between two guardian statues, great basalt pillars, a tall arch with a raised portcullis, a frieze of runes and gold, banners and braziers.
  • Behind the gate, a pillared vestibule and a long tunnel lead straight into the mountain, to the great hall with its feasting tables and braziers.
  • From the great hall the halls branch out: forge (blast furnaces, anvils, a roaring hearth), treasury, barracks, tavern (kegs, brewing stand, fire pit), armory and the mine entrance.
  • Mines: branching rail tunnels with timber supports, ore veins in the walls, rich ore chambers and abandoned minecarts full of loot.
  • Some hideouts hide a throne room deep in the mountain: an empty throne watched by the royal guard, and the richest treasure of the clan.
  • The halls are buried in the mountain: no rooms sticking out of hillsides, only the gate stands in the open.
  • Every room has loot chests with their own loot tables.

⚒️ Dwarves (neutral)

  • Miners, smiths and guards, each with their own look and job: miners chip away at ore, smiths hammer at anvils and tend the forge, guards stand watch in full dwarven steel.
  • Right-click to trade (emeralds): sell them raw ores, buy dwarven steel, gear, ale, lanterns, rails and more.
  • Neutral, but proud: attack one dwarf and the whole clan turns on you. They calm down after a while.
  • They fight monsters that wander into their halls, never despawn and stay close to home.

The barracks

🛡️ Dwarven steel

  • Dwarven Steel Ingot: crafted from 4 iron ingots, 4 coal and 1 gold nugget (makes 2), traded or looted.
  • Dwarven armor set: between iron and diamond, with high toughness.
  • War Axe, Hammer (slow, but throws enemies back and slows them) and Pickaxe (diamond tier, more durable).
  • Dwarven Ale: Resistance and Strength… and a little Nausea.
  • Crown of the Dwarf King: rare throne room treasure, grants Haste II while worn.

🔎 Tips

  • Find the nearest hideout with /locate structure dwarves:dwarf_hideout.
  • Hideouts only appear in newly generated terrain, so explore new mountains.
  • Bring emeralds, not swords.

📦 Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.21.11, Fabric Loader and Fabric API, Java 21.
  • Install on both client and server (the server generates the hideouts, the client needs the models and textures).
