Description
ENCHANTERY
The main goal of enchantery is to reimagine how enchantments are obtained without massively overhauling how enchantments work at their core.
The primary feature of the mod is that when you have Chiseled Bookshelves within range of an Enchanting Table, any enchanted books placed inside of it will have their enchantments appear in the enchanting table's pool of enchantments. (The enchanting table's range has been increased to 7x7x3 to make that easer) But, the enchanting table can also apply curses to your items unless you have candles nearby. In addition to that, the mod adds eight brand-new curses with unique and varied effects.
Additionally, anvils will no longer be able to combine enchanted books or apply them to tools. However, repairing items with the anvil will never cost any xp, only the material cost.
Also, villagers are only able to trade a select list of enchantments (that can be customized for modpacks).
The Enchantery Wiki is the best place to go if you want more details about the dozens more small features of Enchantery.
