Description
Entity Protector is a utility mod that gives you precise control over entity damage interactions and targeting behavior in your Minecraft world. This mod is particularly useful for modpack creators and server administrators who want to protect specific entities, modify combat behaviors, and control aggro mechanics.
Key Features:
- Protect specific entities from all types of damage (normal, spell, projectile)
- Control aggro mechanics with configurable timers
- Make projectiles pass through protected entities
- Prevent certain entities from attacking players
- Protect players or entities from tamed mobs
- Simple JSON configuration
- Shield entities from spell damage (including Mine and Slash and Iron Spell Books compatibility)
- Control which entities can target players
- Flexible JSON configuration system with folders
- Priority-based config system (Individual configs > Global config > Global_Mobs)
- In-game reload command (/entityprotector reload)
Configuration System:
- Entity-specific configurations in /config/Entityprotector/Entities/
- All configurations can be modified while the game is running
Configuration Options Include:
- entityId: add any entity from minecraft to modded entitys
- takeNormalDamage: Control if entity can take normal damage
- takeMobDamage: Control if entity can take damage from other mobs
- takeGenericSpellDamage: Control generic spell damage
- takeMineSlashSpellDamage: Control Mine & Slash spell damage
- takeIronSpellDamage: Control Iron Spells damage
- canDamagePlayer: Control if entity can damage players
- cancelAggroTime: Set how long aggro lasts (in seconds)
- neutralUntilAttacked: mobs remain passive until player attacks them first
Perfect for:
- Protecting important NPCs from all types of damage
- Controlling how long mobs stay aggressive
- Preventing specific modded entities from attacking players
- Managing spell damage from popular magic mods
Configuration is simple and can be found in the config/Entityprotector folder. All entity lists can be modified while the game is running using the reload command.
Required Permission Level for Commands:
• /entityprotector reload - Requires permission level 2 (Op/Admin)
• /entityprotector cleartracking - Requires permission level 2 (Op/Admin)
