EpicChat

A chat formatting mod focused on giving Forge server owners control over their chat aesthetics. LuckPerms support is built in by default, and supports prefixes and suffixes.

Current Features:

• Ability to use legacy (&) color/formatting codes and hex (&#) color codes in chat
• The ability to add and remove nicknames with /nick and /delnick. This supports color codes!
• Prefixes and suffixes are supported via LuckPerms

Planned Features:

• LuckPerms permissions, requiring users to have epicchat.color.*, etc. That way servers can restrict/allow colors and formatting options for users
• Other mod compatibilities. No specific mods in mind, I just plan to explore and see what all I can make work with it.
• Other Forge/Neoforge versions

Issues:

There is currently no way to get ahold of me if there are any issues with the mod, but surely I will remember to set this up later! This mod was made for my own server and I didn't really have any plans to share, but figured people would appreciate having it.

NOTE: I will probably not be supporting or updating NeoForge and Forge because I don't feel like it!

Current Features:

• Use legacy (&) color/formatting codes and hex (&#) color codes in chat
• Change the default chat format to whatever you want
• Add and remove nicknames with /nick and /delnick. This supports color codes
• Prefixes and suffixes are supported via LuckPerms
• Permission nodes are supported via LuckPerms

Command Usage & Permission Nodes:

/nick | Changes your nickname.

• epicchat.nick

/delnick | Deletes your nickname.

• epicchat.delnick

/delnickfor | Deletes another players nickname.

• epicchat.delnickfor

/nickfor | Changes another players nickname.

• epicchat.nickfor

Allows hex (&#abc123) and legacy (&a-f, &0-9) colors.

• epicchat.color.hex
• epicchat.color.legacy

Allows chat styles Bold: &l

• epicchat.style.bold

Italic: &o

• epicchat.style.italic

Obfuscated: &k

• epicchat.style.obfuscated

Strikethrough: &m

• epicchat.style.strikethrough

Underline: &n

• epicchat.style.underline

Issues:

• Disabling options in the config file will also disable them in the chat formatting. You probably want to use LuckPerms to deny the usage via permissions instead.
