Description

This mod is more than just a port, it's a reinvention of the original EmberRootZoo by Lothrazar, For newer versions of Minecraft, with all the bugs from older versions fixed and general IA, textures and animations improvements.

EmberRoot Zoo logo enlarged

I'm just starting out, the available mobs for now are the following:

-Cursed cat (previously Wither/Dire cat): He's a big cat, and at first glance he looks normal, but don't be fooled. He's cursed, allowing him to transform into a wild beast to defend himself or his owner, the toxic witch. (It is immune to poison and wither)

If you kill the witch and manage to calm the cat, you can tame him with a pufferfish or a tropical fish.(Feeding a tamed cursed cat a pufferfish instantly heals it to full health; feeding it a tropical fish heals it to 9 health and grants a random positive effect.) You can also paint the color of their eyes and wounds with dyes.

-Toxic witch (previously Wither/toxic witch): A more dangerous witch than normal, she can use persistent slowness potions and wither potions, and can appear alongside 1 or 2 cursed cats as pets that will defend her (she loves her cats so if any are injured in combat, she will heal them).

description_b8bb8f81-7061-4f13-bae5-8600e77f35b2.png

-Wither potion: You can create it with a mundane potion and a wither rose. (The image says 3 minutes, but the effect was nerfed to 45 seconds in the last update.)

-Confusion creeper (previously Cursed/Concussion creeper): These creepers possess something strange: when they explode, depending on their color, different things can happen.

description_d1cfe76c-1f02-4b87-b163-3a53ec25e6b6.pngdescription_e20ea8a2-e6da-49f7-8700-3be762461d2c.pngdescription_4e421c19-0795-4e6c-91c9-5368e3c5f547.pngdescription_8d2a4f3b-ac49-4d54-b245-a9c67d9ed011.png

They have baby and electric variants (depending on the difficulty, the electric forms can appear naturally, not just when they are struck by lightning).

description_eef69c10-775f-4058-bbec-4c4a138f132e.png

-Rainbow slime (previously Rainbow/water Slime):There are 11 variants; depending on their size, when they die they generate clouds of potion effects. They are immune to potions.

Mini slimes can grow into medium slimes, and medium slimes into giant slimes (approximately every 12 minutes).

You can put the small ones in buckets to carry them around. (You can also craft the bucket to get a random small rainbow slime.)

-Deer: They are peaceful animals; you can feed them wheat to breed them, and they can jump fences.

They may or may not have horns (all babies appear without horns, but they become visible when they grow up if they were going to have them). They have five texture variations depending on whether they are in cool or cold biomes.

description_902d0d79-4264-420e-a0b3-257096117315.png

-Sprout: Peaceful and small, fruit-like plant creatures, can be picked up and placed on your head by right-clicking on them with an empty hand. To get them down, crouch and right-click on a block with an empty hand.

(They will feed you 1 drumstick every second while they are near you or on your head.)

They sleep at night, and you can heal them by feeding them with a bottle or bucket of water.

-Fallen hero: souls of fallen players who return from death, know how to use swords, bows, crossbows and shields, can appear very rarely naturally or when a player dies (depending on the difficulty, it happens 25%, 60%, or 100% of the time; it never happens on peaceful difficulty), They are aggressive towards the players.

description_6ce54228-1b70-41dc-a6b5-bebecfa80c6e.png

-Block Slime: This clay slime camouflages itself with blocks, has a physical hitbox that you can step on, is taller than a slime but shorter than a magma block, and is mostly asleep, but will wake up if disturbed or attacked; If two slimes of the same size happen to be in the same place, they can merge into a larger block slime (It has 7 variants).

New! Warg (previously Timber wolf): This warg wolf can appear in packs in forests. They are neutral and will not hesitate to attack if provoked. Unlike other creatures, if they become aggressive, they will attack any creature nearby (not just the one who bothered them in the first place). When they bite, there is a chance they will "break your bones," which will give you the effect of weakness.

description_1df9b852-cdd3-4803-acfb-b2e528ccf7d3.pngdescription_f7f69200-3215-40ba-a93a-b127e09c3ab8.png

During the night, they enter a frenzy mode during which they will unleash carnage, attacking all nearby mobs (except creepers and confusion creepers). You can tame them with a bone block (only if they are not aggressive; it is recommended to tame them during the day to avoid being attacked). During the night, if the frenzy mode is active, they can howl at the moon, which will grant Resistance 1 to all nearby wargs and, if tamed, also to the player who owns them.

New! Dire Wolve (previously Dire wolf): These wolves are very aggressive and hate humans, so they cannot be tamed. They come in different sizes; the larger the wolf, the stronger and more resilient it is, but also the slower (there are four sizes, including pups, which are the weakest but the fastest).

They can charge at you with a leap when they attack. The largest wolf cannot jump due to its size, but its charge can send you flying and pierce shields. When they bite, these wolves can inflict a new effect (fear). When these wolves die, there is a chance they will let out a cursed howl that will inflict the fear effect for a longer period. They can appear at night in any biome.

-Fear: This effect will cause panic in the player. Every so often, they will freeze, hear their heartbeat, and slow down for 5 seconds. There is a chance their vision will blur, and they may miss attacks.

You cannot eat while under this effect.
