Extra Armor Slots
Wear two armor sets at once. Or eleven.
Extra Armor Slots adds extra armor columns right next to the normal armor slots. Everything you wear there counts: armor, toughness, enchantments, attributes and even other mods' set bonuses. It's overpowered on purpose.
A second armor column
The extra column grows out of the inventory's left edge, styled like the vanilla GUI. Shift-click armor into it when your normal slot is already taken.

It's in the creative inventory too:

Everything stacks
- Armor, toughness, knockback resistance and any other attribute on the armor.
- Every armor enchantment: Protection, Fire/Blast/Projectile Protection, Thorns, Respiration, Aqua Affinity, Depth Strider, Frost Walker, Soul Speed, Swift Sneak, Feather Falling, Mending.
- Extra armor takes durability damage and drops on death like normal armor (unless
keepInventoryis on). Curse of Binding and Curse of Vanishing work too.
Raised caps
Vanilla stops counting at 20 effective armor points and 20 protection points (80% blocked). Each extra set adds another layer. The first 20 points work exactly like vanilla, and every extra layer blocks up to 80% of what's left. Two netherite sets with Protection IV take a 10-damage hit down to about 0.05. You never become fully immune.
You can turn this off in the config for vanilla caps.
What you see
Each slot shows your normal armor. The extra piece shows when the normal slot is empty, so you can mix and match looks.

Left: netherite in the extra column only. Middle: diamond in the normal slots wins. Right: normal gold helmet and diamond leggings, extra netherite for the rest.
Elytra, turtle shells, pumpkins and more
Vanilla "wearables" work from the extra slots too:
- Elytra in the extra chest slot: fly with a chestplate on, wings and all.
- Turtle shell: water breathing.
- Carved pumpkin: endermen leave you alone.
- Gold armor: piglins stay calm.
- Leather boots: walk on powder snow; leather keeps you from freezing.
- Mob heads: the matching mob has a harder time spotting you.

Works with other mods' armor sets
Modded armor in the extra columns counts as worn. "Wear the full set" checks and set bonuses from other mods find their pieces, even with a set split between your normal and extra slots. Minecraft itself only sees your normal armor, so nothing gets counted twice.
Up to 10 extra sets
Set extraArmorSets in the config and wear up to 10 extra sets: 11 full armor sets in total. If your screen is too narrow for all the columns, they show a page at a time with arrow buttons.

Config
config/extraarmor-common.toml, or in-game through Mods > Extra Armor Slots > Config. On a server, the server's settings count.
| Option | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
extraArmorSets |
1 | How many extra armor sets you can wear (1 to 10). Lowering it gives the armor in removed columns back. |
raisedCaps |
true | true: each extra set raises the armor, toughness and protection caps. false: vanilla caps. |
