About
Description
Adds a new cow that can grow plants on it. The cow doesn't spawn naturally currently, this is an alpha release.
TAMING:
-Taming items are: golden carrot, golden apple, glistening melon
-Feed crop cows a taming item to make them trust players. Hitting crop cows after tamed will make them distrust players and you will have to feed them another taming item to be able to interact with them again.
-Crop cows will follow you when you have a taming item or a feeding item (will be mentioned later) in-hand.
-Crop cows can be bred with allium.
WATERING AND SOIL STATES:
-Crop cows have different soil states from dry to blooming. Each has a corresponding texture.
-Crop cows start off dry, you cannot plant any crops on them while dry. To water the cow, use a water bottle, submerge it in water or bring it out into the rain. Once wet, it will become darker and you can begin planting crops on it.
-Crop cows will look around for flowers, crops and hay to eat if they get hungry enough. They can also be manually fed flowers and other non-plantable crops (beetroots will work but potatoes wont, potatoes ARE plantable). When a crop cow eats on its own or is fed, its soil fertility is increased for each item it eats.
-Once a crop cows' soil fertility reaches a high enough threshold, its soil state will increase to the next level. The states are as follows:
Dry: unable to be interacted with, must be wetted.
Wet: lowest plantable soil state. Crops grow VERY slow.
Fertile: Crops grow at a decent speed, about the same as normal crop block speed.
Growing: Crops grow fast, better than crop blocks.
Blooming: Crops grow VERY fast, insanely efficient.
-Soil fertility decreases over time, gradually decrementing the cows' soil state. Eventually going all of the way back to dry. You need to consistently feed crop cows or the better soil states wont last long.
PLANTING:
-Crop cows have 4 different plant slots: small, medium, tall, hanging.
-Crops need to planted in their corresponding slot.
-While holding a seed/plantable item in your hand, outlines on the cow will appear to show you where to plant the item. When the outline is visible, you are in looking at the correct slot and can right click to plant.
-Crops have 3 stages. Mushrooms have 2. Once a crop is done growing you can right click the slot where the crop is planted and receive your items. Crop cows spin around a lot so getting the right slot can be tricky sometimes and you might have to guess, so I highly recommend holding a hoe in your hand when retrieving your crops. Holding a hoe will show the outline of the current crop slot you are looking at, acting as a guide.
-Now each of the slots:
Small: Located on the upper-side of the cow. Plants crops such as potatoes, carrots, wheat, small mushrooms, etc.
Medium: Located on the back of the cow. Plants crops such as berry bushes, large mushrooms, melons, pumpkins etc.
Tall: Located on the front of the cow. Plants large crops such as bamboo, sugar cane etc.
Hanging: Located on the lower side of the cow. Plants vines (cocoa) and weeping vines. You must be crouching to be able to access this slot!
COW BEHAVIOR AND CHARACTERISTICS:
-Act like normal cows basically.
-Baby crop cows follow adult crop cows.
-Crop cows are scared of polar bears and polar bears will try to attack crop cows!
-When gone unfed for a while they will begin to look for nearby food sources to eat.
-Different texture for crop cows in the nether! (Basically just red instead of green lol)
-Baby crop cows cannot be planted on.
-They use the original Minecraft cow sound effects! (The ones from super old version of Minecraft)
-7.5 hearts of health
-Drops dirt / tallgrass / farmland depending on their soil state.
I think that's about it. Again, this is an alpha but I wanted to share it. I hope you enjoy playing around with this guy!
BTW The reason the file is classified as "release" is because curse wont accept it any other way. No idea why.
