Pam's Harvestcraft was a great mod that expanded food better than no other back in 1.12, and this sequel is that but for modern versions.

If you want a giant variety of different crops, each being able to be processed in a multitude of ways then you'll probably enjoy this mod. My main issue with it in modern minecraft is how it can feel like it is quantity over quality. Many food items can be processed identically, so why do so many variants exist?

Pam's harvestcraft 2 has, in my opinion, very dated textures that often don't fit in with either old or new minecraft, but especially not with modern mods like Create. This is made worse by so many crafting recipes just being made in the crafting grid, which contributes further to the mod feeling out-of-date.

I would recommend people try this mod, and definitely try it's predecessor but I wouldn't recommend adding it to large packs due to bloat and texture inconsistencies.

While I love the other Pam's Harvestcraft 2 mods, Crops is always the first one I download for any modded world or modpack.

To me, the best aspect of the mod are the immersive, (bio)diverse, and useful bushes and foliage you find throughout the wild. While the foods and growing the crops are really great and polished as well, being able to add a huge variety of immersive bushes and foliage with a huge variety of new foods and plants with a single (awesome) mod is the best.

I love the simple, Minecraft-feeling of every texture, the bushes, and the crops and food. PHC 2 is one of those mods that has been supported and has updated & evolved to the modern modding scene, and I'm so happy to see it.

Pam's HarvestCraft Creator GoFundMe to avoid Homelessness

https://gofund.me/e0016769f

Hi, I'm Pam, sole creator of Pam's HarvestCraft, and I've been trying hard over the last fourteen years to bring everyone's favorite foods, crops, and fruit trees to the game.

I now face homelessness due to Bipolar mania and depression, I've been left with severe cognitive difficulty, and I need help from the Minecraft community!

Please help me survive through the next year, so I can have the time to recover!

IMPORTANT 1.18.2 CHANGES

---Right-click harvesting is gone; there are so many options out there and I'm tired of conflicting with them

---Brand new textures for about 70% of the crops and items by me and only me

Pam's HarvestCraft 2 - Crops

Welcome to the brand new HarvestCraft for 1.14.4 and beyond!  Please read carefully as this is NOT a update of Pam's HarvestCraft but a re-boot.  Pam's HarvestCraft will come in four mods.  This is the second and adds CROPS ONLY.  I did not touch vanilla food at all.

This mod can be used BY ITSELF or WITH:

Pam's HarvestCraft 2 - Food Core

Pam's HarvestCraft 2 - Trees

Pam's HarvestCraft 2 - Food Extended

Crops Added

Fruits - Blackberry, Blueberry, Cactus Fruit, Candleberry, Cantaloupe, Cranberry, Grape, Green Grape, Huckleberry, Juniperberry, Kiwi, Mulberry, Pineapple, Raspberry, Strawberry

Fibers - Cotton, Flax, Jute, Kenaf, Sisal

Grains - Amaranth, Barley, Bean, Chickpea, Corn, Lentil, Oats, Quinoa, Rice, Rye, Soybean

Vegetables - Arrowroot, Artichoke, Asparagus, Bellpepper, Broccoli, Brussel Sprout, Cabbage, Cassava, Cauliflower, Celery, Chili Pepper, Cucumber, Eggplant, Garlic, Jicama, Kale, Kohlrabi, Leek, Lettuce, Okra, Onion, Parsnip, Peanut, Peas, Radish, Rhubarb, Rutabaga, Scallion, Spinach, Sweet Potato, Taro, Tomatillo, Tomato, Turnip, Water Chestnut, Winter Squash, Zucchini

Misc - Coffee Bean, Tea Leaf, Agave, White Mushroom, Ginger, Sesame Seeds, Spice Leaf, Mustard Seeds

(Beets, Bamboo, Seaweed, and Curry Leaf no longer exist)

Finding Crops

Crops can be found in naturally spawning blocks called gardens.  Different gardens spawn in different biomes, and drop different crops.  Gardens now drop one item each, spawn in groups of 2-6ish, do NOT spread, and can NOT be picked up.  Changing their frequency can be done in the config and how much and what they drop can be done in the block JSON itself.

Arid Garden - Agave, Amaranth, Cactus Fruit, Cassava, Chickpea, Chili Pepper, Corn, Lentil, Sisal

Frost Garden - Broccoli, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Celery, Cotton, Huckleberry, Juniperberry, Kohlrabi, Oats, Peas, Quinoa, Raspberry, Rutabaga, Rye, Spinach

Shaded Garden - Bean, Blackberry, Garlic, Jute, Leek, Radish, Rhubarb, Scallion, Spiceleaf, Sweet Potato, Tea Leaf, Tomato, Turnip, White Mushroom, Zucchini

Soggy Garden - Asparagus, Blueberry, Brussel Sprout, Cotton, Cranberry, Green Grape, Jicama, Kale, Millet, Mulberry, Okra, Rice, Spiceleaf, Tomatillo, Water Chestnut

Tropical Garden - Arrowroot, Cataloupe, Coffee Bean, Eggplant, Grape, Kenaf, Kiwi, Pineapple, Sesame Seeds, Soybean, Taro

Windy Garden - Artichoke, Barley, Bell Pepper, Cucumber, Elderberry, Flax, Lettuce, Mustard Seeds, Onion, Parsnip, Peanut, Strawberry, Winter Squash

Crop Behavior

Crops can be planted using the food item itself or the seed.  Crops now have a full eight stages like wheat.  Crops drop an average of 2-4 crop items and do NOT drop seeds.  You can change what item each crop block drops in the JSON block file itself if you want it to drop seeds.  Crops can be right-clicked to be harvested.  This should work with Minecraft crops as well.

Animal Behaviors Added

- Cows, Sheep now follow/breed with Amaranth, Barley, Bean, Chickpea, Corn, Lentil, Mustard Seeds (item), Oats, Quinoa, Rice, Rye, Soybean

- Pigs now follow/breed with Arrowroot, Artichoke, Asparagus, Bellpepper, Broccoli, Brusselsprout, Cabbage, Cassava, Cauliflower, Celery, Chilipepper, Cucumber, Eggplant, Garlic, Jicama, Kale, Kohlrabi, Leek, Lettuce, Okra, Onion, Parsnip, Peanut, Peas, Radish, Rhubarb, Rutabaga, Scallion, Spinach, Sweet Potato, Taro, Tomatillo, Tomato, Turnip, Water Chestnut, Winter Squash, Zucchini

- Rabbits now follow/breed with Blackberry, Blueberry, Cactusfruit, Candleberry, Cantaloupe, Cranberry, Elderberry, Grape, Green Grape, Huckleberry, Juniperberry, Kiwi, Melon Slice, Mulberry, Pineapple, Raspberry, Spiceleaf, Strawberry, and Sweet Berries

- Chickens now follow/breed with every seed known to man

Recipes Added

- All root vegetables can be cooked in the forge, campfire, and smoker : Arrowroot, Cassava, Garlic, Jicama, Kohlrabi, Leek, Onion, Parsnip, Peanut, Radish, Rhubarb, Rutabaga, Scallion, Sweet Potato, Taro, Turnip, Water Chestnut, White Mushroom (Brown and Red Mushroom works as well)

- Tea Leaf and Coffee can be cooked in the forge, campfire, and smoker

- x2 Fiber items (Cotton, Flax, Jute, Kenaf, Sisal) make x1 String

- x3 Grain items (Amaranth, Barley, Bean, Chickpea, Corn, Lentil, Oats, Quinoa, Rice, Rye, Soybean) make x1 Bread

- x2 Agave make x2 Sugar

- x2 Paper_Plants (Blackberry, Juniperberry, Kelp, Mulberry, Okra, Pineapple, Raspberry, Rice, Spiceleaf) make x2 Paper

- x1 any crop makes x1 its seed

GIANT LIST OF CROP AND FRUIT TREE USES (Only applies to latest update)

Food Behavior

Crops now restore values similar to the items they resemble in Minecraft.

If a crop is not on that list, it is no longer edible.

Miscellaneous

- All crops and seeds work in the composter.

- Added tags (the new OreDictionary) to hopefully work with the Simple Farming mod and other Forge compliant food mods.

- Seeds can now dropped from Grass, Tall Grass, and/or Fern blocks in the config.  Change what drops/seed weight in the block drop JSON of that block.  Normally disabled.

Pam's HarvestCraft 2: Crops

Please read carefully as this is NOT a update of Pam's HarvestCraft but a re-boot.  Pam's HarvestCraft 2 will come seperated mods.
This mod adds 96 new crops to the game with right-click to plant food items, that grow in four stages. These crop items drop from six diferent bush blocks that spawn across various biomes.
In PHC2-Crops, bushes can no longer be picked up or spread across the land slowly (ruining servers). I might add options to add these back when I can for folks that want them.
Note: I am still in the process of updating all of the textures to my own style now that I've improved my texturing so much over the years. Please be patient! :)
