About Folklore

"Folklore" aims to add various  mobs and items related to a number of
fairy tales, mythology, fables, fictional bestiary's, folklore, and other various pieces of media/stories.

The mobs come from a variety of different cultures, like the guarari, greek, aztec, olmec, mayan, roman, japanese, and

much more.

The mod updates frequently, so be sure to check for updates every couple of days!

You'll find many monsters and creatures across various biomes, some of which being:

    • The Flying Head - Iroquois & Wyandot Spirit - Dark Forest Biomes
    • Oni - Japanese Demon - Mountainous Biomes
    • Nisse/Gnome - Nordic Folklore - Forests
    • Goblin - English/Scottish/Irish Folklore - Forests, Swamps, Everywhere
    • Jackalope - Wyoming Folklore - Forests, Plains, anywhere with grass.
    • Werewolf/Lycanthrope - Greek Mythology - Forests
    • Wendigo - Plains And Great Lakes Natives - Taiga's, and snowy biomes.
    • Cipactli - Aztec Mythology - Swamps
    • Phoenix - Greek Mythology - Badlands biomes.

    • Mapinguari - Brazillian Folklore - Jungle's
    • Centaur (Accidentally called it minotaur! Sorry!) - Greek Mythology - Everywhere

And much more!

There is also an abundance of other items related to the mobs that can spawn:

    1.  Silver Weaponry - 10+ Damage to all monsters.
    2. Wizard Staff - Shoots Fireball's
    3. Oni Club - Hammer
    4. Poisoned Dagger - Self-Explanatory
    5. Meat on a Stick - Attracts Wendigo's from anywhere.
    6. Scaled Armor - Reward for killing Cipactli
    7. Essence - Used to give a permanent fire effect without using an enchantment slot.
    8. Ruined & Restored Tablets - Used to make your own Golem's.
    9. All-Seeing-Eye - Gives Night Vision for 3 seconds.
    10. Four Leaf Clover - Gives Luck when in a player's inventory.

    And more!

My goal is to add as many creatures from folklore, mythology's, stories and other pieces of media.

So if you have an idea, i would love to try and make it into a mob.
