Description
Architectury is now required after version 2.0! The Fabric version may currently be unstable.
A version compatible with 1.21.1 has been released.
Version 1.20.1 supports Forge (NeoForge) and Fabric, while 1.21.1 supports NeoForge and Fabric.
This mod is not a fork of Spice of Life, but the content is similar. Instead of a policy of rewarding and encouraging eating, which is common, it encourages eating by debuffing.
Overview
This mod increases the difficulty of managing food in Minecraft by introducing mechanics that decrease food recovery values the more you consume the same item. It adds both short-term and long-term food debuffs, making food choices more strategic. Also, add a basket that can carry more than one food item.
Short-Term Food Debuff
If you eat the same food within the last 5 meals, the following debuffs will occur:
- 1st time: 100% recovery (normal)
- 2nd time: 90% recovery
- 3rd time: 75% recovery
- 4th time: 50% recovery
- 5th time: 05% recovery
This is considered the short-term debuff.
Long-Term Food Debuff
Over time, the more you consume a specific food, its recovery will decrease by 1% per consumption, up to a history of 100 meals. This simulates a long-term debuff.
Items added
Baskets should contain multiple food items. It can be opened by right-clicking.
Basket:It can hold 9 stacks of food.
Wicker Basket:It can hold 9 stacks of food. Right click to eat the food inside. Compatible with AppleSkin.
Configurable Settings
All debuff values, as well as the number of meals tracked for the history, are configurable through the config file. These settings are world-specific, so you can adjust them per save file.
Mod Compatibility
- AppleSkin: This mod is fully compatible with AppleSkin. Changes to the food recovery will be reflected in the HUD. It also displays the amount of Wicker Basket recovery.
- Farmer's Delight: While tested and working with Farmer's Delight, full compatibility is not guaranteed.
- Diet/Nutritional Balance: Full compatibility with Diet/Nutritional Balance has been added.
Nutrition is affected by the debuffs from this mod. - Sophisticated Backpacks: Compatibility with the auto-eat feature. Food that does not restore hunger when eaten will not be consumed. If a Wickerbasket is in the backpack, food will be consumed from it with priority.
Command
/resetfoodhistory <targets>
This command allows you to reset the food consumption history of one or more players. This command is useful if you want to remove any debuffs related to repetitive food consumption and start fresh.
Example:
/resetfoodhistory @p
This command will reset the food consumption history of the player nearest to you.
Information for Modpack Creators
Modpack creators can configure the server config used when generating a new world through the global config. The global config is not generated by default. You can generate it using /solclassic generatedefaults.
The global config is only referenced when creating a new world. It does not affect worlds that have already been generated. Changing the global config after a world has been created will not apply any changes. To modify settings for an existing world, edit serverconfig/solclassic-server.toml in the save file.
