This mod allows you to bring a friend back alive after they have *died* been banned. This mod works in conjunction with my other mod Forgiving, but does not require the other mod to work.

Forgiving Altar Mod Overview

The Forgiving Altar mod introduces an immersive and lore-friendly way to redeem banned players through a mystical ritual. Players use a Forgiveness Stone, crafted with rare resources, to perform the ritual at the Forgiving Altar. This mod provides a unique gameplay mechanic that allows players to restore previously banned users to the server, adding depth and excitement to server punishments while maintaining balance.

Features

Forgiving Altar: A sacred structure that allows players to perform a ritual to unban others by using a Forgiveness Stone.

Forgiveness Stone: A special item crafted from Echo Shards, Diamonds, Netherite Ingots, Enchanted Golden Apples, and a Soul Shard (a rare drop from the Warden. A 1% drop rate).

Soul Shard: A rare item dropped by mobs the warden to craft the Forgiveness Stone.

Glowing Aura Effect: The altar emits a glowing particle effect when the unbanning ritual is in progress, signaling a player’s return.

Custom Ritual Mechanics: During the ritual, a banned player is unbanned and teleported to the altar’s location.

Particle Effects & Sound: Enhanced visual effects like Enchanting Particles and Smoke combined with special sounds such as the Wither’s ambient sound and a "ding" sound effect to represent a successful redemption.

Configurable Mod Features: Future plans include configurable altar effects, rituals, and other visual enhancements.

Fabric Mod Compatibility: Built specifically for Fabric 1.21.1, making it lightweight and optimized for multiplayer servers.

How It Works

  1. Craft the Forgiveness Stone
  2. Craft the Altar Core
  3. Build the Altar
  4. Activate the Forgiving Altar: Hold the Forgiveness Stone and right-click the Block under the Altar Core to start the ritual.
  5. Unban a Player: Type the banned player’s username into chat to select them for unbanning.
  6. Watch the Ritual: The altar will glow with particles, and the ritual will begin.
  7. Unbanned Player Returns: The unbanned player is teleported back to the altar, with all the effects of the ritual, including a special sound effect and particles to celebrate their return.
