FruitsIceCream's Utilities
A Quality of Life mod focused on eliminating tedious gameplay elements while maintaining progression balance.
Overview
FruitsIceCream's Utilities is designed to provide players with intelligent solutions to common Minecraft inconveniences. Rather than removing challenges entirely, this mod offers tools that reward player progression with increased convenience. The first feature set focuses on revolutionizing experience management through an advanced network-based system.
IMPORTANT: Configuration Guide
After version 0.1.1, please check the configuration guide:

NEW in 0.1.3: Complete network system overhaul with pipe networks!
Features
Experience Core System (Tiers I-V)
Experience Cores are automated XP generators that produce experience points passively over time, eliminating the need for traditional mob farms solely dedicated to grinding levels.
Progressive Tier System:
- Tier I (MK-I): Early game entry point requiring basic materials (lapis, emerald, stone)
- Generates 360 XP/hour with 180 XP storage capacity
- Compatible with Gold Pipes + Basic Collector
- Tier II (MK-II): Mid-game upgrade using iron and redstone
- Doubles production to 720 XP/hour with 720 XP capacity
- Compatible with Gold Pipes + Basic Collector
- Tier III (MK-III): Advanced tier requiring gold blocks and blaze rods
- Produces 1,440 XP/hour with 2,160 XP storage
- Compatible with Gold Pipes + Basic Collector
- Tier IV (MK-IV): Late-game power with diamond blocks and experience bottles
- Generates 2,880 XP/hour with 5,760 XP capacity
- Requires Diamond Pipes + Advanced Collector
- Tier V (MK-V): End-game ultimate tier using netherite blocks and end crystals
- Massive 5,760 XP/hour production with 34,560 XP storage (6 hours at max rate)
- Requires Diamond Pipes + Advanced Collector
Core Features:
- Dynamic Visual Feedback: Cores emit light levels (0-15) based on stored XP percentage
- GUI Interface: Shows production rates, capacity, and fill percentage with color-coded warnings
- Smart Storage: Cores stop generating when full to prevent waste
- Silk Touch Support: Preserves stored XP when breaking blocks
- Tool Requirements: Tiers I-III require iron pickaxe+, Tiers IV-V require diamond pickaxe+
Pipe Network System (NEW in 0.1.3!)
Connect your Experience Cores to Collectors using an intelligent pipe network system. Pipes create pathways that automatically transfer XP from cores to your centralized collection point.
Gold-Inlaid Pipe (Tier 1):
- Entry-level pipe for basic XP networks
- Works with Experience Core Tiers I-III and Basic Collectors
- Default limits: 10 blocks distance, 10 cores per network (configurable)
- Requires iron pickaxe or better to break
- Perfect for early to mid-game setups
Diamond-Studded Pipeline (Tier 2):
- Advanced pipe for massive XP networks
- Works with ALL Experience Core tiers (I-V) and Advanced Collectors
- Default: Unlimited distance and unlimited cores (configurable)
- Requires diamond pickaxe or better to break
- Designed for end-game mega-farms
Network Features:
- Adaptive Scanning: Networks automatically adjust scan frequency based on size
- Small networks (<100 blocks): Scan every 5 seconds
- Medium networks (100-300 blocks): Scan every 10 seconds
- Large networks (>300 blocks): Scan every 20 seconds
- Smart Connections: Pipes automatically connect to adjacent pipes, cores, and collectors
- Visual Connections: See exactly where your pipes connect in real-time
- Performance Optimized: Efficient BFS scanning with safety limits to prevent lag
- Configurable Limits: Set maximum distance, maximum cores, and flow rates per pipe tier
- Flow Rate Control: Optional flow rate limiting for more realistic XP transfer (disabled by default for best performance)
How to Build a Network:
- Place an Experience Collector (Basic or Advanced)
- Connect pipes directly above or below the collector
- Extend pipes in any direction to reach your cores
- Place Experience Cores adjacent to pipes anywhere in the network
- The collector automatically detects and extracts XP from all connected cores!
Experience Collector System
Collectors act as centralized XP aggregation hubs, automatically scanning pipe networks and extracting experience from all connected cores.
Basic Experience Collector:
- Accepts connections from Experience Core Tiers I-III only
- Works exclusively with Gold Pipes
- 50,000 XP maximum storage capacity
- Requires iron pickaxe or better to harvest
- Perfect for early to mid-game setups
Advanced Experience Collector:
- Compatible with ALL Experience Core tiers (I-V)
- Works exclusively with Diamond Pipes
- 200,000 XP maximum storage capacity
- Requires diamond pickaxe or better to harvest
- Designed for massive end-game XP farms
Collector Features:
- Intelligent Network Scanning: Automatically discovers all connected cores through pipe networks
- Real-time Statistics: GUI displays connected cores by tier, total production rate, and network health
- Adaptive Performance: Scan intervals adjust based on network size to minimize lag
- Core Prioritization: When limits are reached, higher-tier cores are prioritized
- Distance Tracking: Shows how far each core is from the collector through the network
- Fill Warnings: Color-coded indicators when approaching capacity limits
- Silk Touch Support: Preserves stored XP when broken with Silk Touch
Collector GUI Breakdown:
- Left Panel: Lists all connected cores organized by tier with counts
- Visual tier indicators (MK-I through MK-V)
- Total core count at the bottom
- Center Panel: XP storage display and collection
- Large XP amount with color-coded status
- Progress bar showing fill percentage
- Collection button (extracts all XP as experience orbs)
- Right Panel: Production statistics
- Total production rate (XP/hour)
- Current capacity status with percentage
- Average production per core
- Network limits information (max cores, max distance, flow rate)
Debug Tools (Creative/Testing)
Three debug items included for testing and development:
- Debug Stick: Right-click blocks to view detailed technical information about cores, collectors, and networks
- Experience Additioner: Add XP directly to cores/collectors with three configurable modes (10, 100, 1000 XP)
- Experience Transferer: View network topology, connection status, and transfer statistics
Configuration System
Fully customizable configuration file allows server owners and modpack creators to fine-tune the experience system:
Experience Core Configuration:
- Production Rates: Adjust XP per hour for each tier independently
- Storage Capacity: Configure maximum XP storage for each core tier
Push Mechanics: Removed in 0.1.3 (replaced by network system)

- Light Emission Toggle: Enable/disable dynamic light emission
- Debug Logging: Enable detailed logging for troubleshooting large networks
Config File Location: config/fruitsicecreamutilities-common.toml
Progression
This mod maintains Minecraft's progression curve by requiring increasingly expensive materials for higher tiers:
- Early Game (Tier I-II): Basic materials, modest XP generation with Gold Pipes
- Mid Game (Tier III): Nether materials required, decent production with Gold Pipes
- Late Game (Tier IV): Diamond-tier materials, requires upgrade to Diamond Pipes
- End Game (Tier V): Netherite and End materials, massive production with unlimited Diamond Pipe networks
Early game players get modest XP generation with simple networks, while end-game players who've invested in netherite are rewarded with powerful automation and unlimited scaling potential.
Compatibility Notes
- Forge Version: 1.20.1 - 47.4.0+
- Performance: Optimized for large networks with adaptive scanning
- Multiplayer: Fully compatible with dedicated servers
Known Issues & Limitations
- Pipe networks are checked for chunk loading - unloaded chunks will not transfer XP
- Maximum recommended network size: ~750 blocks for Diamond Pipes, ~250 blocks for Gold Pipes
- Networks that hit scan limits will automatically use extended scan intervals
Last Updated: Version 0.1.3 - Network System Overhaul
