About
Description
This is the official companion mod for the Grand Civitas Minecraft server. It adds small client-side integrations that make playing on the server feel more connected, without changing any gameplay.
What this mod includes
A growing set of lightweight, server-specific features designed specifically to work with Grand Civitas's own plugins. This includes typing detection, so other players can see when you're actively typing a message via the little indicator on your nametag, just like a chat app. It also now carries the custom music and ambient sounds for Grand Civitas's custom biomes, and the custom music for all 42 of Laudividni's Discs, moved here from the resource pack to keep its download size down. More features will be added here over time as the server grows.
Why download this
Grand Civitas is a roleplay-driven, in-character world where knowing whether someone's mid-sentence actually matters, and where the right music in the right biome helps sell the world you're standing in. This mod bridges that gap between client and server so those small social and atmospheric touches show up naturally while you play, no extra setup, no interface to manage.
Before you download
- This mod is client-side only.
- It's optional, nothing on the server requires it, but features like the typing indicator, custom biome music, and Laudividni's Discs only work if you have it installed.
- It communicates with its own server-side plugin and has no effect on gameplay, economy, or balance.
Special Credits
- Custom music by Laudividni Music.
- Aether-inspired music courtesy of The Aether Team.
