About

Description

Grenades a Dozen is an addon for MrCrayfish's Gun Mod by An0m3L1 and zaeonNineZero that adds additional types of throwable grenades. Similar in vein to NineZero's Gun Expansion, Grenades a Dozen expands the selection of grenades available in CGM, giving you more ways to confront enemies and hold ground.

DEPENDENCIES:

Feature List:

  • Five new grenades, including smoke grenades, incendiary grenades, Molotovs, impact grenades, and high-explosive grenades.
  • Smoke grenades emit obstructive smoke particles and apply a visual effect to players who enter the smoke cloud.
  • Incendiary grenades and Molotovs light blocks on fire! The Molotov ignites on impact, while the incendiary grenade explodes on a timed fuse.
  • All grenades can have their properties changed via the common configuration file. Feel free to make adjustments!
  • Crafting recipes for all grenades, allowing them to be used in survival mode.

Additionally, the mod includes a built-in resource pack featuring grenade models made by An0m3L1 himself. These models replace the existing grenade models in both Grenades a Dozen and CGM.

Versions:

Grenades A Dozen is available for 1.19.2. I plan to port it to 1.19.3, 1.19.4, 1.18.2, and 1.16.5.

Actively supported versions

1.19.2

These versions will receive all content updates, minor updates, and bug fixes. Updates will first be released on the main development version, after which the new update is ported to the other actively supported versions.

The main development version (currently 1.19.2) is the one I use for developing new features and implementing cross-version bug fixes. These changes are then ported to the other actively supported versions.

Occasionally, the main development version will have pre-release builds for testing new features and bug fixes before they are pushed into a full release.

Credits & Contributions:

  • Grenades a Dozen was developed in partnership with An0m3L1, who spearheaded the implementation of smoke and incendiary grenades using CGM as a base.
  • Russian (ru_ru) localization: An0m3L1

If you would like to contribute translations, please open an issue or pull request on the mod's GitHub repository and provide a language JSON file with the translations. Your help is appreciated!

Q&A:

Q: Can I use this in my modpack?

A: Yes, you may. As a courtesy, please include the mod's name and/or a link to it on your modpack's page or mod list. On CurseForge, a modpack's 'Relations/Dependencies' page effectively serves as a mod list.

Q: Can you port this mod to x version?

A: I plan to port Grenades a Dozen to several Minecraft versions as stated above. I will not port the mod to 1.12.2 due to significant version differences, and to 1.20.1 due to the lack of an official CGM version at this time.

Q: Incendiary grenades and Molotovs don't work with Explosive Enhancement Reforged installed!

A: This is a known issue due to how projectile explosions are handled by CGM. I have addressed this issue in a modified fork of CGM, which has not been released to CurseForge yet.

Q: The explosion damage configuration option doesn't work!

A: Similar to the above -- this is due to how CGM handles explosion damage. This feature is intended to be used with my fork of CGM.

Q: Why doesn't your mod have localization for my language?

A: Translating and localizing Grenades a Dozen, as with all my mods, is primarily a volunteer effort, as I am only fluent in English, but I welcome and encourage efforts to translate the mod into other languages. See the Credits & Contributions section for details.

Q: Can you add x/y/z?

A: I cannot guarantee that I will add the guns/items you want, but I do look at comments and consider suggestions I'm given. What I add ultimately depends on what I feel would fit in with the rest of NZGE's content.

  • Molotov
Molotov The classic Molotov cocktail explodes and sets blocks and entities on fire on impact!
  • Smoke Grenade
Smoke Grenade The smoke grenade creates an obscurant cloud of smoke particles once its timed fuse runs out. The cloud applies a status effect that covers the screen in a gray overlay, and distracts mobs affected by it.
